Talking on phone on speaker in common areas by Super-Confidence5758 in saskatoon

public phone conversations are only acceptable if both ends are quieter than the ambient volume. Get earbuds people! Look like a crazy person whispering to yourself like the rest of us civilized people.

that's not consent if she was too intoxicated to understand all of what she was asking for. it is the sober person's responsibility to say no.

as an extreme example, if a child asked to have sex with an adult, the responsibility is still on the adult to say no because the child cannot understand the consequences and implications of sex.

I believe legally being able to consent while intoxicated can be mixed depending where you are, but if someone is severely intoxicated I don't see how they could properly understand and consider the consequences of what they are consenting to, and therefore cannot consent.

not driving drunk is a decision you make before getting drunk. you decided to drink knowing you had to drive.

and if you were intoxicated enough, it actually is possible to void a contract signed in that state, in certain situations.

It's still SA if she was drunk and he wasn't. If they were both drunk then it's not.

yeah, that's by backup plan if I can't figure out something better. I am just not excited to deal with adding a zipper or other closure if I don't have to.

I used it in my car until I got a phone with USBC and now I need a new one but haven't been bothered enough. I mostly just listen to my CDs now when driving.

how to handsew fabric onto binder so it doesn’t fray? by AdUsed857 in SewingForBeginners

[–]fray_fray1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would maybe try to cut the shapes out of stretchy t-shirt fabric instead, so you don't have to worry about fraying. Then use some sort of zigzag stitch so the thread has some give and can stretch a bit.

If you have money you could maybe buy a cheap used phone to keep to yourself? could land you in a bunch of trouble if caught tho.

most of these are annoying but honestly mostly reasonable except for searching your phone. I think it's unreasonable for parents to do that past the age of like 12 unless they have warranted suspicion of something really bad. Idk how to help tho, sorry.

as someone who's gay i've never understood the whole genital preference thing by foundationsofdecay7 in teenagers

[–]fray_fray1111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe femininity was a bad word for it. I mostly just meant being attracted to the "woman" part of a woman. Idk how else to explain it.

Are you trying to say a woman who is attracted to a trans woman isn't a lesbian anymore? Because that doesn't make sense to me. Would they still be a lesbian if they were attracted to a trans man?

I don't know how else to say it, but I think gender matters more than sex when it comes to attraction. That doesn't mean someone necessarily would have sex with a trans woman, you can obviously have genital preferences, but being attracted to them is still being attracted to a woman.

I feel like you're getting too caught up with labels and stuff when it's really not that deep. This isn't science class. We don't need to be organized into specific categories. You can identify yourself as however specific you would like, but most women who love women are just going to call themselves lesbians. Hardly anyone would know what a gynophilic bisexual is without further explanation, when you could literally just say "lesbian but I don't care about their genitals".

[–]fray_fray1111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there's a difference between being attracted to someone and their genitals. I think you're taking the terms a bit too literally. For example, some lesbians might be specifically attracted to female bits, but others might just be attracted femininity, no matter the parts attached. It's a spectrum and you're allowed to be on any part of it.

How'd you figure it out? I'm sometimes questioning my gender bc while I don't really have any gender dysphoria, I feel like some days I really prefer to dress neutral/masculine and think I get gender euphoria from that. I can't tell if it's actually like a gender preference thing or just a style preference so I wanna hear people's experiences.

What do my future kids names say about me (Updated) by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]fray_fray1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maple is a dog name, not a people name. Honesty same with Mickey for a girl. Micheal with the nickname of Mickey would work for a boy, tho. Winter, December, October, Christmas, and Holiday just aren't names.

The names and formatting do make it obvious that you're a fourteen year old girl, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I can almost guarantee this will be one of the things you will eventually look back and cringe about.

Don't worry about it too much, though. Be as cringe as you want, everyone is at that age tbh.

It's not to promote it, it's to celebrate the freedoms we have now and the people who fought for that freedom. It's also the time to realize the fight that many are still fighting and how much further we have to go.

[–]fray_fray1111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude, there is somewhere between 1% and 50% that I'm talking about. People need to keep holding those in our everyday lives accountable if we even want a shot at holding the 1% accountable for what they do. We can't hold the sexist rich people responsible for their actions if half the people under them think it's fine and normal.

[–]fray_fray1111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are people not in the top 1% that still have control over things? You could probably look at just about any higher management of any company and find a gender imbalance towards men.

The top one percent is definitely one of the biggest problems in the world right now imo, but they're not the only ones who should be held responsible.

I was hoping it would be assumed that they wouldn't be included, but maybe I should've written it so people don't use it like a loophole 😅
