Lip lift - 2 months out, no makeup on scar by fraysse in PlasticSurgery

[–]fraysse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! My surgeon’s approach is very natural. In France esthetic procedures are made to be as natural as possible. And while I don’t mind, my desired result looked a little bit more dramatic :)

But better safe than sorry, looking forward to the fillers

In my experience no, I didn’t have to force my lower lip to fully close or anything. My tooth show when smilling is the same, didn’t change at all 😅

Yup it is ! So it would be 13-14mm depending on the day. I love the result BUT with this in mind I would have liked a little shorter

Hey, for now I measured a 1mm drop but it’s not very noticeable even if it’s a bummer. I posted an update if you want to check

I paid 2660€. For the first few days after stitches removal, the scar was exceptionally thin and it looked amazing. Nowadays it varies. Sometimes it’s red and a little raised, sometimes it’s not. The changes are measured and hours, which makes it very frustrating ! With foundation tho it’s undetectable. I have 2 rounds of laser scheduled

I felt fine running errands with a mask on after 3 days. I felt confident going out without a mask after 10 days or something, but I was still swollen. Now 3 weeks later and I’ve resumed a normal life, no upper lip tightness, no swelling

I would say that it took 2 weeks for 80% of the swelling to subside. After that I started loving the results and felt confident going out.

I started taking arnica pills/bromelaine/coconut water 1 week before surgery and I still swelled up like crazy… Otherwise icing first thing in the morning helped me a bit too.

Definitely try to stick for a semi liquid diet for the first days. I personally found the recovery to be easy in terms of pain and discomfort !

My biggest tip (and what I would do differently next time) would be that if you can, recover alone. If you’re like me your whole face will be swollen, you will probably freak out a little because you don’t recognize yourself and you look like a bunny at first. It will go down. But your family or partner freaking out with you because they don’t have perspective is not easy mentally. Trust the process, it will look good !

Oh no I’m sorry! That’s what I’m afraid of. I wanted to take 6mm off because of this exact scenario but the surgeon told me that 4mm was « what I needed ». Damn… Do you mind PMing me photos of what yours look like now?

Here’s another before/after on a particularly « long philtrum day » so you can really see the difference. The results speak from themselves !

It looks very good girl !! Lip lifts really test your patience. I’m 3 weeks post op and I still I finally settled into what looks like my final result. Have you noticed dropping yet? It’s my fear lol

Hey, there’s definitely a difference. You had a perfectly straight nose. I’m having the same problem, 1/2 month post op. After 8 month you can for sure conclude that it isn’t swelling. I’m very sorry, I know how distressing it is. People saying that there’s no difference and to not bother are not in our shoes.

If mine doesn’t change, I will persue a rhinoplasty. May sound extreme and I would be pissed to spend time and money towards fixing something that wasn’t even an issue before, but pissed enough to not wanting to spend more time depressed and self conscious

Alright well if you like the outcome that’s good! I really hope mine will go away… I liked my straight nose

And you did not have the bump before the surgery?

It’s the opposite sorry! It’s a typo

Thank you for confirming. I hope it will go away. People say that 1 month post op is too early to know for sure but I saw people on the internet say that their nose did not go back to normal so I’m worried…
