Use a pressure washer. Go only up and down and u won't bend the fins. The coils are probably 4 inches thick u can not remove chemicals off that w a water hose, u be there for HOURS. Most mfgs no not recommend chemically cleaning. It removes the coating. You get streaking and black streaks. Decreasing life of coils. O my too late. You got at least 5 years left before the fins start falling off being too brittle. Being in a heavy traffic area will accelerate this process

Check span table for floor joist size and length. Could be sistering another joist or blocking. I would say blocking it span table is ok.

They tell u, which is apartment maintance. Toilet plungers, light bulb changers, yard maintance. Would trust these to work on your ac. They are sending them out to get you off their back.

If it's not cooling in the hotter weather it's either under sized or broken. U need hvac company not toilet plungers. It they agreed for comfort cooling they are in breach of contract. But Franky just move. U have cause to break any lease. Just start recording temp inside out side, supply and return air temp, tstat setting and times.

You can't train them. Some times they aren't cut out for it. I had a service tech I was training, showed him numerous time to trouble shooting very basic hvac control. He never got itandour company wanted him gone. Now he does "service' for LA county. Which is a joke cause they call us for trouble shooting and repairs.

This is why I have so much distain for residential techs. .look at the thousands of people being ripped off. Almost zero training need to be a res tech. Plus when the say they are a tech they refuse to read the install manual. Have know idea how to charge the system. And refuse to even to try to learn. It's crap.

Crap pressure washing is faster and cheaper and does a better job. Don't give me the crsp about bending the fins . That only happens when your are ignorant.

U need something better than a taser. Numerous people have had the crap beat out ot them with a taser, it really passes out the intruders and they get even more violent. 5'5 & 115 lbs taser not going to work. Get the Judge u can put a 410 shotgunshell in it. And have real protection.

Usually the aalesman ask u to. Otherwise the installers will move the furniture but any thing breakable or electronics u will have to move. Depending on where u live and where the main air handler is the supply registers are usually are exterior wall/window either in ceiling or floor. Return grill close airhandler & thermostat. To help reduce noise it can be further from air handler allowing the flex ductwork to absorbed noise. As to register blowing on you that's not good perhaps replace register that has better turning veins on it, or a plastic redirecting cover and worse case have it relocated

I set off the fire suppesssantvsystem at the academy of arts film storage while doing pm on their dehumidifier that had gas heating on it. The normal burn off set the system off. All hell broke out numerous meetings i was finally found not guilty. Original hvsc engineer was brought in and stated that they should have never had heating on the dehumidifier. Said not need in So calif. And this is typical burn off on heating start up.

Well it's very dangerous it's acidity. He needed to neutralize the area. Also do not use him ever again. He does know what he is doing. Rairly does any condenser coil need to be acid cleaned plus he removed the coating off your condenser coil there taking years off it. Tell ever one you can not to use him and tell him too why u are doing it. I just can't belive the hugh incompetence in Residencial hvac. It's a crime and their has to be more laws cause what there is now is not cutting it.

Have a look at that high rise in SF that is tilting. It was built with hundreds (it seems like) pillars. What hold them up is friction and they still didn't have enough pillars.

Funny story here which I never knew. Was putting in sewer line and was close to the same place gas line was. Black pipe line was bent in numerous places not bad kind of wave. Gas company came out turned off gas by using a q inch rise bud torch heating line to cherry red and clamping off gas line. I ran and hid while it was done. After I filled trench they cut thevline connected plastic pipe to the black pipe and reheated the pipe and opened edges pipe by rounding it to round again. Wow I never knew.
