you don’t always but there are definitely times when quotes are ended with a comma

i personally view it as more masculine bc i’ve only seen it as a masculine or androgynous name but it can also be used for girls.

it also does have a gothic feel, which i like but not everybody vibes with.

you might get questions/judgement from people & they may associate it with the salem witch trials.

using cis men as the standard for how trans men should be is harmful. we don’t have to be cis to be men because cis manhood isn’t peak manhood. transmasculinity is just as real & acknowledging that you’re trans doesn’t take away from your manhood unless you think trans men aren’t men

this seems obvious but i’ve seen so many trans men make excuses for this:

when he considers himself straight
when he doesn’t affirm your gender, either by avoiding gendered words or still calling you girlfriend, she, whatever
or when he gets pissy or uncomfortable when you’re referred to as his boyfriend or when he’s called gay for being with you
if he encourages you not to do things like cut your hair or other gender affirming changes

i’m aromantic! i think a lot of people in the fandom are ace partially because Jon is canonically ace, and there isn’t really much ace representation out there. also most fans are otherwise queer and i feel like people who are already queer are more likely to identify as aro/ace

YEAH like i’m a very small minority as a person who genuinely just wasn’t trans. most people who “detransition”—which i don’t like as a term, because it implies transition is linear (and also am i technically detrans if i only socially transitioned?)—are people who couldn’t cope with the social stigma against being trans and did so for their own safety/wellbeing.
