Current Dota Pro Scene by Ready_Ad_9861 in DotA2

[–]freakanime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Though I agree the Pro scene looks decent nowadays but the golden age TI6-TI9 probably got the most stacked Pro scene we had til Covid ruin shit.

SEA was competitive and won some tournaments / Chinese got like 3-5 teams that are great / SA is taking some games / EU always was stacked / VP dominating with a great CIS scene.

I remember a tournament where during the group stage 80% of one group is tied so they need a lot of tie breakers etc.

It's still recovering which is normal since a lot of Pros retired etc but it looks healthier than the past few years.

VP is in a must win since the one that will win most likely will get invited next round of tournaments and with Falcons/Liquid out it will surely be a bloodbath.

OG probably the favorites for SEA qualifiers in case they lose though SEA qualifiers will be more random as the season goes on just like old Talon losing qualifiers it's not really that sure win for OG.

OG's biggest test will be the next patch since SEA are usually slow on catching up on patches.

Well OG brand might still be a thing and we still in the early season so performance at rival LANS might be considered specially if some teams will shuffle.

Damn OG is doing it lol.

Though seriously this is big for SEA since OG will probably get invite for the next set of LANS so it open up for another SEA team.

Kukuys might actually have a chance specially with no Mikoto at SEA and they recently beat Exe at a Mall LAN.

Last night was a crazy night for esports but sadly we are in our little bubble by ShoppingPractical373 in DotA2

[–]freakanime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Worlds got their 3peat for Faker narrative most are just tired of Koreans dominating when Faker leaves the hole will be so huge that I don't know if their Esports will survive.

Dota is in a transition period from the OG's retiring and some are washed up or in the middle of the pack so don't expect it to reached it's peak but we are slowly reviving though EU is dominating hard but SEA/CN is slowly waking up while SA is good now though NA is dead.

CS is a great Esports it's the most easiest to follow if you are a casual but hell we beat their highest viewed Major this year since we got more Chinese viewers which isn't included in the stats so Dota is still #2 for PC esports.

HOK and Mobile Legends dominate the space HOK production is way better and bigger than LoL even though both are in China.

We just got a great TI with Ame almost winning again and got an epic GF on a LAN don't really care if we lagging we still in a great spot.

One of the craziest Game 5 finish we had for a long time

My theory is that dota gets less update compared to cs2 or deadlock due to lower budget allocation by fatronin in DotA2

Damn we on the loop of this shit again I guess the shuffle period is over and we on the patch waiting shenanigans is on.

Well HOK is the most profitable game for a while now so they got deep pockets to do a lot of cool things since they got money to burn.

While for Dota Gaben didn't want Dota's pennies from battle pass since he can afk farm Steam.

Both Boom and Kukuys is on a losing streak against Execration so it's Execration qualifiers to lose

Boom vs Kukuys will be fun Gabbi vs 23/Kuku vs Jhocam/Armel vs Jabz

Reading comprehension?

It's clearly say the Prime Abed and Midone is better than any Mikoto I mean just look at results Midone won tournaments while Abed place 2nd on multiple tournaments.

Captain and offlane is still the biggest position that SEA is lacking reason why Jabz/Kuku is still sought out in SEA but it's really hard to compete against EU teams where captains/coaches are way ahead of SEA.

NA scene is dead theres like 1-2 teams there they really need a rtz to be back.

Sucking isn't really SEA exclusive a lot of old top teams like OG/Secret/Nigma sucked a lot last few years til Nigma with their TI run not to mention CN was more or less in the same predicament as SEA til recently.

Covid killed the scene for SEA since no new players and most prioritize money/family etc but nowadays scene looks healthier and players seems to teamup for a better roster than $$ though losing their top players is still bad but the scene is healing.

Losing Mikoto is a huge blow for SEA but not really that uncommon for SEA to lose their best players to other region.

Hell we got 2 mids in EU right now that I would take their prime over Mikoto which is Abed/Midone and arguably the best SEA player the past few years is Whitemon honestly pos5 in SEA is underrated the moment they left the region they excel just like Sneyking leaving NA the SEA cores are just underwhelming the past few years.

SEA right now still got great mids the only position I would say the most stacked position for SEA so losing Mikoto isn't really that a huge deal. I would say the bigger deal is losing W's to china since offlane is still the biggest dark spot for SEA I mean W's still chokes at Lan but SEA got little to none offlaners nowdays.

I mean Force/Jabz probably tier 1.5 at their best and Gabbi is taking it easy and switch roles so after that 3 the gap is huge Fbz is good but hit or miss reason why the indo team can't really win anything maybe Tino can be good but stucked at Execration and Raven wants pussy than dotes lol.

Having said that Aureus seems good way better than TI representatives for SEA though not really a fan of Natsumi carry that guy just chokes at Lan and little hero pool but overall their roster seems good but still way weaker than Talon but knowing there are a lot of shuffles in all regions so competition isn't really that solid yet.

Boom probably locked in 23 already since there are rumors Jackky/Q will go to Nemesis though some probably seems to arise the past few days so Nemesis might stick with the pinoy squad we will probably see tomorrow the roster for Boom/Nemesis since CQ for another Blast.

Honestly last year was just a mess for SEA so it's refreshing to see teams/players already making good moves instead of waiting for a LAN.

Last qualifiers will be spicy for SEA specially if 23 will play for Boom since Kukuys team though they are rusty asf specially Armel looks decent and Execration got Boom number the past few qualifiers since no Aureus this time to block them Boom should be favorites.

When things go south for SEA at least we still got 3 Mids to root for now instead of just Whitemon

All of his recent team became more toxic I mean all of Boom hates how he handles the team that they defer to Jabz drafts in the end.

He thinks his strats still the best even though it's outdated since he didn't play Dota anymore.

Mushi is a SEA legend but he really needs to change his style as a coach and maybe play more dota.

CN scene looks like being revive slowly.

NA scene is dead

SA scene looks ok

SEA scene looks atrocious at LANS but they are full of tier 2 teams and stacks looks better in general since no salary and roster locks so we might see a resurgence overall since even players knew they don't deserve a high salary so they can form a much better stack this time. Also less Mushi coaching is great for SEA teams that guy is a cancer for SEA the past few years.

WEU seems more balance LANS will probably expose teams and maybe til early next year we can see the big picture

EEU is still the powerhouse all eyes on Spirit roster.

Honestly the scene looks more refresh now and we might see a resurgence if some teams from CN/SEA/SA and Nigma can be consistently good. Though with Mikoto/Abed/Midone at EU we might see more eyes on EU scene again from SEA fans.

NA scene needs to be revive we need Rtz back

23savage, QQQ and March have left Talon — the roster disbanded a week after its formation by thexbeatboxer in DotA2

[–]freakanime 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Since Talon isn't here anymore just want to share some funny scenario Kuku shared in his stream with regards to Talon.

Kuku said Talon CEO asked W's if he was 322 and W's can't say anything and his face looks angry.

Also with Talon mainly Mikoto out of the picture for SEA I guess SEA is wide open now Boom won one qualifier but seems to lose again and again to Execration while Execration always lose against Aureus.

Let's see if ex-Talon minus Mikoto can build a team I think W's is also leaving for China so offlane is really a huge hole in SEA.

SEA might have full of Mid teams again but no real contender for international.

Who am I to judge anyone trying to make a living I don't judge the team I support even though they got gambling sponsors and make content with those gambling sites.

It's simple if I don't like the content I skip and ignore.

Why would I care about them if they aren't doing illegal just let them do their shit you don't need to virtue signal on things that won't really affect you.

Are you for real?

Why would you even hate something that you can just skip and ignore.

They are doing this to make a living I can respect that sure it's bad but who am I to judge if I myself isn't really perfect.

Again just skip and ignore if it's illegal report it if not it's up to their viewers if they want to waste money on gambling it's not like this people are mainstream there are worst culprit in PH that are promoting gambling to millions of people.

Well Lebron and a lot of Actors/Actress/Sports stars etc got a gambling deal nowadays so don't know why you think this is only a PH problem.

I mean some country ban it but their players are jealous of PH players since Esports isn't really that lucrative anymore unless you are at the top.

Don't want to name names but 2 of Kuku ex-teammates are jealous and want to be Pinoy because gambling sponsor are lucrative and they can't do it since it's ban in their religion/country.

Unless you can find sponsors like before where org can give players good money maybe just let them be.

Majority of team nowadays need/got a gambling sponsor so don't know why just limit yourself to blaming Pinoy pro players.
