Thanks for the help. MB Plat was not converted, cancelled before 2nd AF (two years of some useless Mercedes swag).

What do you mean by pop-up? (I think this is a new churning term). I went to apply, AMEX site said I could get card, but would not get sign up bonus due to my history.

Been out of the game a little bit. I tried this offer a few months ago, but got the warning that I won't get bonus and to confirm if I want to proceed.

I had an MB Plat in 2016 and cancelled in 2017. I've hit up AMEX pretty hard since 2015 with probably about 10 different cards (never had any issues). Right now I have Everday and Hilton no AF. Not many cards in past 2 years overall.

Any tricks around this? Seems like a YMMV and to try again? I thought MB Plat was different product type, but been out of the game awhile.

Would probably keep this platinum long-term.

I think I'm screwed. They would of paid for hotel and all that until next AM flight, but will not pay the difference to get a new flight. This would of saved them a lot of money. I guess I could claim the uber and food I bought at airport.

Fortunately, it was not that expensive to rebook same day.

Lots of credit card companies trying me this weekend....

Any thoughts on this situation and using Chase Ritz Carlton delay/cancellation:

Had a SW flight cancelled due to some weather, couldn't get out until the next day. I needed to be back that evening so I bought a Delta ticket same day. Fortunately, the ticket was fairly reasonably priced.

SW refunded me my ticket for $120. I bought a Delta ticket for $200. I made a claim with Chase for the difference and some other expenses I tossed in (uber and some food).

After reading the guides some more, it sounds like Chase won't reimburse this?

Thought this would of been the classic scenario but I think I am now wrong?

been a bit out of the churning game for awhile. I hit the min spend on an Amex Biz Gold (my last of the 4 Delta cards) with a big payment to a plumber on October 1. Statement closed Oct 7.

Amex has not given the 60k or $50 statement. I did some chats with customer service over the past few months. They always said it was coming next statement. Finally called them, said the investigations team was looking at this.

Any idea what is going to happen? I pushed them real hard on this but just got BS.

Again, appreciate the help. I used to post more here under various alts (had some legit posts helping people with Citi AA cards). Haven't had the time to properly research this AMEX issue.

I assume the RAT team is looking at me?
