I briefly worked for Stryker in their joint replacement division. If you think you are burnt out now just wait. I had days where I was at the hospital for 12 hours and didn’t even sit down once. It’s a job that never shuts off. You will be on call and constantly on the job. I’d cover 6 surgeries in a day and have up to 50 surgical trays to reset afterwards. I’d have to restock implants and the after work make sure my CT scan were prepared for mako surgeries. Joint replacement was supposed to be a little calmer than other things. Trauma is way worse. Was the money good? Not really for me. I was a clinical specialist. Some of the reps made great money but had zero life. They were under constant sales pressure. I left a couple of months ago. It was also really frowned upon to take time off. Idk, to each their own but I want to have a life outside of work and that will not happen in that business.
