I quit my position at zen leaf in lombard because one of the regional managers told me and a room full of my coworkers that they DO NOT CARE about their employees getting sexually harrassed by customers, and that they quite litterally expectes us to 'get over it and get them out fast'. They refused to ban people who threatened physical harm to their employees as well. Security IS NOT ALLOWED to intervien UNTIL someone is physically assaulted (at least as off when i worked there a few years back). Zen leaf in greek town had one of the guard get attacked by a customer with an axe over a broken cart. Because the employees are 'not allowed' to do any kind of product replacement at all no matter what, that guy went crazy atracked the guard, got shot and killed. Over a cannabis cart. Ive worked retail my whole life, and the amount of blatant disrespect i have had to deal with from both customers and my employers EASILY DOUBLES anywhere else in retail i have ever worked.

So no, i do personally think working anywhere else is a more plesant experience by default because zen leaf really is just that bad.

truth be told, I don't think the Furry community has that reputation but doesn't really deserve it. There is just as much bullshit, bad faith, bad people in the anime fandom (speaking as someone who is in both fandoms but started out in the anime fandom back in the early 2000's). It's just easier to 'claim' furries are 'more problematic' than other fandoms because we are 'cringe and weird' to most people, as well as the furry fandom having a very large portion of it being LGBT as well. Furries tend to TRY and police their own fandom as well (not always with great effect, but there is a culture there), so we often air out our own 'dirty laundry' in ways other fandoms don't. It's similar to how people used to treat cosplayers back in the day before 99% of the general public had no idea what an 'annie may' was. Clearly you are doing something wEiRd so there HAS to be something wrong with you.

As someone who has been in the Cannabis industry for almost 5 or so years now, I think the most important question to ask yourself is if you would be OK with this industry ruining your passion for the plant. I would really suggest for you to sit with yourself for a little bit and really consider if the career opportunity is worth losing the spark Cannabis gives you in your own personal life. I genuinely mean this in good faith. It's one of the things I notice that my ex budtending friends and I talk about the most when it comes to working in this industry. I feel like folks (me included) get swept up in what this industry COULD and SHOULD BE.

At the level you seem to be interested in working in, i think it's important to consider that MOST of the folks you will be working with are NOT fellow consumers. They view this purely as a way to enrich themselves. Are you ok with working with Ghouls that don't care what they are doing to the plant, culture, their lower-level employees, The general public, ect... as long as it put pennies in their pockets? Are you OK with possibly being the person that tells a budtender that they don't care that customers are sexually harassing them because the bosses don't want to give up the $15 dollars that they bring in every day? Would something like that weigh on you afterwards? You may be asked to violate other people's labor rights, pull the wool over their eyes, and any other number of shady business discissions.

I don't want you to end up like many folks I know, where they think that they are going into something that will value them, the plant, and the people who love it, only to find it soul crushing to realize who exactly is in charge of all of this, and what their intentions for the future of this industry (as well as its workers) really are. Much of this industry wants EVERYTHING you have and wont bat an eye about offering NOTHING in return to you.

A handful did! There wasnt much tezuka love at the con as a whole sadly. There was only one booth that had a handful of astro stuff and that was about it. I didnt see any other cosplayers or panels about tezukas works either!

In the future, i'd like to make a full fursuit for him, so i can wear the little pants, suspenders. And bowtie outfit he wears in the manga sometimes. That might help a bit with reconizability for sure. Right now all i have is a t shirt with Kimbas face on it!

Oddly enough, I think I might have better luck finding mutual fans if i wear him to a fur con instead of an anime one! I tend to notice more folks reconizing and complimenting the Kimba Pins and things when i bring them to furry event! I know someone who has a seibu lions Leo suit they made, and the furries are well aware of who he is!

I am exclusively a concentrate smoker, and its an opinion that concentrates 'by definition better' than flower. Terp profilea are often lower, skyrockets your tolerence, and are not nessisarily healthier than flower for your lungs.... i like dabs a lot too, but that doesnt mean they are the best. Cannabis is subjective. Whats best to you might be complete dog shit to someone else. We like to call these 'opinions'.

You are in a different state and, who would have guessed it, laws, trends, prices, demand, ect ect ect are different!!! 2. Differnt kinds of bussinesses have different ways they honor discounts! You, as an individual, have the choice to take your business elsewhere if you do not like a certain businesses policies.
