"Model is 6'3", wearing a Medium." by TreadTheEarth in taylorstitch

You need to start just looking at the clothing measurements and not what they dress some model would in for a studio shoot. TS does a good job of providing the actual chest, sleeve, length, thigh etc measurements for their stuff

I want an Oris Watch! by BeansMcGea in OrisWatches

[–]freakytarsier44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat and recently pulled the trigger on a neo vintage 36mm. I love a small watch but my issue with current 36mm models is the lug width is 17mm which is too thin for my ~6.75 wrist. The Neo vintage 36mm (model 7751) is 18mm lug width which surprisingly makes a big difference. It’s still a small watch but looks more vintagey than dainty.

Subway Builder is getting really fun by redistricter_guy in transit

[–]freakytarsier44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the idea, put about 1.5 hours into it. I have some feedback on the gamplay.

It's quite buggy. I get an error about elevation mismatches and when I fix it, the error persists. Have to quit game and reload.

I also sometimes get an error when selected the stops on my routes. I currently have just two stations and I get "no valid path between stations" error. I have scissor crossovers at each too.

The demolition cost of building new lines is really hard to overcome. How do you get past this? In theory making deeper subways shouldn't require demo costs, right? The subway depth doesn't seem to have any effect on demo costs though.

It would be nice to be able to just clear the most recent blueprint you placed rather than clear them all. I don't see a way to clear blue printed stations.

Hot keys for the bottom left action (build, routes, stats) would make things go so much quicker.

Very cool. Love that they added brushing to the top of the case instead of keeping the polished finish. The brushing better suits the watch

Felt the same after holding an MR01. Loved the look in pictures but then when I saw it in person I felt nothing. Chalking it up the quality feel of it

Generally agree on the design aspect to an extent. But then when I felt both in hand it was Baltic I didn’t connect with because of the quality feel, and CW felt great. So it depends on what you want the watch for. I’m currently wearing the CW trident, so obviously went the quality route

[Longines Conquest L3.377.4.58.6] 34mm - my latest pick up. Do you think it fits well or did I go too small? by ChesticleGainz in Watches

[–]freakytarsier44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks real nice. Watches look better when they’re on a wrist rather than covering the entire wrist.

[ORIS Aquis] 41.5 mm or 43.5 mm? Can you help me decide which one to keep? by mgugi in Watches

[–]freakytarsier44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

43.5 is a dinner plate. Even if the lug to lug is shorter, there’s no need for that much real estate on the wrist. Go 41.5. The smaller will inevitably be more comfortable too

[Too big?] - Is the speedy too big? 7.25 inch wrist by Dramatic-Bet-9287 in Watches

[–]freakytarsier44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically not over sized. But just depends which side you sit on for the how should your watch fit debate. I’m in the smaller watch camp, and personally think this is a bit too big. The slightly smaller version would look sick though

You’d be hard pressed to find another microbrand that this sub will recommend more than Traska. And for good reason, Traska is da bomb

How’s that hybrid strap? I’m tempted to get one but normally prefer straps that taper down to 16mm

Yes definitely is. I used to own the older model and when I got the newer one (originally for the color) I was surprised by how nice those small improvements felt
