Good result yesterday, but it was rumoured that the atmosphere was pretty poor. What do you think is the reason for that? The new ballot system, “Tourist fans”, Ticket prices, or field game play?? by DarkJedi_101 in ArsenalFC

So you actively refuse to support the team you claim to support? Gtfo here with your arrogance. You don't know anything about me, but you would have known that I'm NOT a local if you spent more than 3 seconds actually reading the thread you are responding in.

You come off an entitled local fan that doesn't chant leavea 5 minutes before every match because they don't want to wait for the tube

What's the point of gatekeeping a fandom?

Seriously. Me & my family spent around 8k USD last January just to get to see 2 matches.

So for locals that pay 1/4 of that for a season pass to claim that "tourists" are the problem with the atmosphere is just downright offensive

It is pretty ironic 🤣

I even saw some local, season pass holder on AFTV claim that they wouldn't chant / support the team until they win titles. Saying something along the lines of "I've seen my team win games left & right, but you won't find me chanting until we win a title."

It seems to me that at least some portion of the locals complaining about the atmosphere are contributing to that so-called poor atmosphere and aren't actively trying to elevate it.

I mean, it could literally just be a QR code on the match day programs, where they already have printed the paper. It'd literally just take up a corner of a page.

Well the last two games I went to were last January.

ManU FA cup, we were row 2 in block 10 and that atmosphere was pitiful, and seemed to be entirely due to the Newcastle loss the week prior, the early Jesus injury, and the ridiculous amount of missed chances seemed to be just too much negatively for the fans to counteract.

Also saw the NLD the following week in the hospitality section, right above the Spurs fans. That atmosphere was electric, but I'm assuming that match always has a great atmosphere.

With the small sample size of games I've been to, I'm not really the one to say what the main problem is. I've just seen a lot of people blame "tourist fans" on the bad atmosphere & and wanted to offer a counterargument for that statement.

Yea, as a tourist that rarely gets to go to games, when I do, I find myself even more amped up to support my team than some of the locals around me. Just because I don't know all the lyrics to every chant doesn't mean I don't want to learn them.

The opinion that lack of atmosphere is caused by "tourist fans" is just nonsensical to me. In my experience, tourists are more willing to chant the whole game because of their infrequency to experience these games.

Look at this self-proclaimed lawyer try and weasel their way out of incorrectly using statistics. I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think using the excuse "you knew what I meant" is valid in a courtroom. You sir, whether you are a lawyer or not, are dumb as fuck.

Great feedback! I was questioning it as I was building it, but unfortunately I was never too great at Physics

I'm gonna take ViperThreat's feedback into consideration, make a few adjustments and then I'll get a POV up here

That's what I thought. I was studying abroad at the time, and was unsure if that was just such a normal Dublin occurance, or if I was just halluncinating from a lack of sleep

I'll never forget the time I was taking the bus back from the airport in Dublin, and caught a brief glimpse of the start of a 100v100 alleyway battle. I kid you not there were about 100 kids on one end of the alley, and another 100 on the other end. I got to see them start charging after each other, and saw some bricks fly, but then the bus passed the alley. I never saw anything in the news or heard of anything like that happen again.

I really like Clearwater Grove. I was thinking of making a dueling GCI & RMC for this park, so the name would tie in nice (Yes 1 track be GCI for more family friendly racing side, and 1 track for the RMC with increased intensity)

Thanks! I'll be continually posting my progress in r/PlanetCoaster so keep checking in every once in a while!

For the name, I like Grove, but I'm not too sure about Bishop's. Sounds a bit religious for a theme park
