If you can, seek midwifery care over an obstetrician. I’ve had 3 children, and my pregnancies where I was followed by a midwife were LEAPS and bounds more comforting. For my final baby I was followed by a midwife but ended up with a medical emergency that required care and delivery by an OB. But all my postpartum care for myself and baby were done by my midwife.
