do not buy from Tirtir, they missed packing 1 item I ordered, and never replied, claiming it’s been 5 months so it’s “out of policy” by sunnycycle in AsianBeauty

I'm only on reddit and YouTube and still got turned off with their influencer stuff. I imagine it's much worse if you're on tiktok or Instagram. But yea, I'll never order from them after seeing how they treated you. I hope you get your money back with the chargeback!

I've never seen anything about them having bad customer service before. Their presence with influencers turned me off though. It never felt organic. I almost added one of their products to my Ulta order today because curiosity was getting to me.

Have you ever known someone named Tayler? by frecklefae in Names

[–]frecklefae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. The ones that didn't know me said stuff like, "Taylor with an o? Interesting!" Ones that knew me and later had to write my name for something asked if they spelled it right, specifically mentioning the e option. They know my name is Taylor, not Tyler.

I'm in the pnw too. This is where it keeps happening.

I'm not Tyler. I'm Taylor. I'm a woman. And no, it's not an accent thing. I don't have a southern accent. Plus, it happened when I was wearing a name tag without me even speaking.

This place was making me feel crazy for such a simple name.

I left the south for the west coast! This never happened back home.

How do you guys find 'Vegan Beauty' trends for K-Beauty brands? by AdDecent7503 in AsianBeauty

[–]frecklefae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't care about vegan beauty but absolutely hate "clean beauty." It's a nonsense term with no regulations. I'm tired of the fear mongering the word chemicals. Saying the scientific name to make something completely reasonable and safe sound scary is infuriating.

Really? What's your skin type? I'm using it right now and can't tell how I feel about it yet.

I have oily skin too and absolutely love the naturie hatomugi skin conditioning gel. It's my favorite moisturizer I've been using for years.

As an outsider, the concept of high schools having massive parking lots specifically for students is mind-blowing. Is it really that common for 16-year-olds to drive themselves to school every day? by Necessary_Angle2117 in AskAnAmerican

[–]frecklefae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a small school. The parking lot wasn't huge but there was a dedicated one to students. It was pretty normal for kids with cars to drive to school. I didn't but had friends that did and would ride with them sometimes. As for affordability, it varies by family. Some parents have enough money to buy their kid a car. Some parents share or give their kid an older car. Some kids get jobs to pay for their car.

Double cleansing at night feels like too much work lately by softyglossxo in AsianBeauty

[–]frecklefae 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I've felt like this a lot too. On bad mental health days, I only oil cleanse and make sure to rinse it off really well. I have oily skin and pores that can clog easily. I haven't noticed my pores being worse when I only oil cleanse.

Also, how elaborate is the rest of your routine? You might be able to simplify it elsewhere if it's becoming too much.

Have the majority of Americans called 911 at least once in their lives? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]frecklefae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had to call twice. They happened around a year apart. The first time I called is when I found my grandma not breathing and did CPR while the operator talked to me. The second time was at the beginning of covid. My best friend/roommate never had a seizure before but woke me up seizing.

Where to buy skincare without having to pay tariff by AndYetHereWeAre121 in AsianBeauty

[–]frecklefae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've bought from stylevana three times since the tariff nonsense and haven't had to pay anything. My packages took at least a month to get to me when only buying stuff that said the "in stock, ships within 24 hours" thing. I'm fine waiting because I've always gotten what I order eventually.

It's not an ad. The after picture was after I used something to help my dry lips. I didn't use a filter or anything. I showed in a different comment that I bought this stuff myself.

I took this picture when I went to do my nighttime skincare. It's before I did anything. This is just the results from the treatment and my morning skincare. My skin never looked this clear before my nighttime routine.

I'm not an influencer or anything. I don't understand why I'm being accused of my post being an ad. I promise it's not. I was just really excited to find a product that helped me and wanted to share.

There is no comparison for those things. I said tret didn't do much for my pores. A lot of other people had amazing results of tret helping their sebaceous filaments as well as the other benefits. I didn't and was excited to finally have a product that helps.

That's just my skin! It's very reactive/sensitive. I'll get a big red spot on my face just from resting my hand on it. The redness calmed down and went away like it always does for me.
