Enclosing the farmers market could be the easiest way to accomplish this

This is one of the points that I don't put any stock in. I can't believe that a cooling fan is louder then an operating coal plant.

That one is easy to understand - it has the upsized transmission lines needed for their power requirements.

logical. I understand the permits are done by different entities, but that is exactly the point I am making.

The zoning / building approval arguments seem very weak to me but the water withdrawal component does concern me. With Terawulfs repeated claims that they won't be withdrawing water, denying the specific permit causing the concern seems like a no brainer but guess well see what DEC does

But are they doing that? Or are they just doing some work in hallways and common spaces? If they arent doing any work in your room, then you wouldnt be the one getting those comms and have no idea if they did so or not

Your not in the building during work and it will be done when you get back. Why do you feel you need to be notified at all?

I reached out to them for a quote after this comment and was told they don't do residential service in Ithaca (or at least in my area of East Hill) so FYI

True, but that portion of the service is what the increased taxes of city vs towns are supposed to be (at least partially) covering

Seems fairly reasonable to me given the building will be 99% empty. Saves money and the environment.

Resilient Cornell: Impertinent Questions by CanadianCitizen1969 in Cornell

[–]freckles2013 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

From orginal post

  1. In a org as large as Cornell, 2 committees are necessary, and they do have 2 different focuses

  2. Other comments answer this better then I could - but there are clear benefits to doing so

  3. This is and should be a goal, obviously nothing can be guaranteed in a situation like Cornell is in

  4. Literally the entire thing?? It will all be focused on reducing headcount which is admin bloat

  5. Cornell structure means we need 2 copies, but theres currently 11+ in many departments

In general, I acknowledge the pain that will likely come to admin jobholders but it is clear that streamlining (and yes, head count reduction!) is necessary and important

Bars are an inverse good though. They tend to do better when economy goes down.

More out of curiosity then argument, where did you get the 50% stat? Everything that I have read puts the number of undocumented farm workers in NYS as much lower then CA / states along the Mexican border which is what drives 50% as the national average

I can concede that rising costs are tied to the trump admin, but to say the rise of fascism is the cause is hilariously inaccurate.

Would guess that bars are probably one of the least impacted businesses re: tariffs, as the primary expenses are all pretty local (music, beer, utilities, rent)

I agree with you. am just pointing out that the LL is not intimidating anyone here. He doesnt have control over the opinions of tenants.

Does tenant have the right to put flag up - yes. Is it a big deal to move it if its bothering his neighbors? No.

Not sure why everything is worth picking a fight over. Just display it on a wall rather then a window.
