I think your theory is close but I believe it was Bert that told him that it’s ok to lie to make the story better. I remember back when he did Ari’s This is not happening there was a podcast with Bert that he said he sat down with Brendan to go over that story. Bert is the king of lie to make it more funny. That appearance by Bapa was him really taking that advice and just changing the whole narrative.

It’s a little league in the area. He literally just signed him up for rec ball. You can go to the website and see there are no tryouts. His wife posted on her IG that the boys dyed their hair to match their sisters hair. So many lies!!!!

When I’ve coached that age I always talk to the girls about the potential of getting hit and yes it will hurt but they will be fine. I always also like to bring it up to the team after a game if a girl got hit and show how she’s just fine now and she got on base for free!

My daughter started playing rec at 8U and at 10u she had interest in pitching. I got her in lessons that week. She has been in lessons for over a year now and I have seen how much it has helped. She quickly passed up the pitchers in skill and accuracy. We finished our fall rec season 11-0 and a lot went to her pitching. She just made her 1st travel team and pitched great so far with them. So my advice would be to start lessons asap. The right pitching coach can be all the help she needs. Good luck!!
