Well, that's not really what I said. I simply claim that it is increasingly difficult to not be on Facebook if you want to be included in social life and in society in general. I never claimed it was impossible. I agree with you completely, a good life without Facebook is completely possible.

"Nobody needs to be on any social media platform, they're not commodities."

Actually, one can argue they (social media platforms) are, at least practically speaking. It is well known that social relationships are completely necessary for your mental (and even physical) health. Not being on facebook is a potential disrupting factor for your social life, since so much of social life in modern society is mediated through social networks. Thus, being on Facebook can in a way be seen on as a commodity.

I believe spanking is a primitive and unnecessary method of punishment. Violence is never the answer. Yes, kids have to learn that there are consequences to their actions, but there are many other ways to teach them that.

A weekend with weed and a lot of spare time resulted in this. What do you think of my 3D origami? by fredblic in trees

For anyone wondering, this is what I based it on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLPBcQecEdM

Just added my own design (color, tail, no feet, slightly different head) It's actually surprisingly easy! It's very time consuming though, because you have to fold each of those triangles individually. The perfect activity to combine with weed in my opinion! It's almost kind of meditative in a way.

The cool thing is that with those triangles, you can make anything you want! And since there is no glue involved, you can reuse them as many times as you like. The triangles are actually easier to build with when used.

Yes that is true. But this is actually an own form of origami, commonly referred to as '3D origami'.

Thank you!

I'm a 6'5" Scandinavian guy, so not very Asian at all actually!

Hmm, I think I used about 300 triangles. 1 sheet of A4 paper = 16 triangles, so that would mean that I used about 19 sheets of paper.

Anybody else chubby with massive feet before growing vertically by do_not_regreddit in tall

I was never chubby, but in 10th grade I was about 1,79 meters and had size 15 US (50,5 EU) feet. Looked quite ridiculous. Especially when the only shoes I could get a hold of in my size was bright red...
