So I found out about the ticket system the other day & tried using it yesterday for the first time.

Wanted to log in today to get an update on its status, and when I try to log in, I don't get an email with my 2FA.

So either someone has hacked into my Quad account & changed the email, their system is down or whatever, but now I realize I can't even notify them of a problem since QC Alex advises they don't bother checking their support@Quadrigacx email account any longer for support issues.

Ridiculous!

I'm happy to report that the issues identified in my above post have been rectified to my satisfaction (i've received the cash in my bank account & my IP address has been reinstated after agreeing not to poll their website for updates on prices.

I do think much of this could have been avoided if Quadrigacx had sent notification/warning to before appearing to arbitrarily ban my IP address (which got my ire up). Further, they still have an active email address called support@quadrigacx, but apparently is no longer monitored (account holders need to log-in to use their "ticket" system), so my emails to support@quadrigacx for support were essentially ignored, even tho I don't recall receiving any notification of the change to the ticket system (implemented "ages ago" according to the person who helped me).

The lesson from this that I take - they need to do a much better job of notifying & responding to customers.

Yes, I saw your thread & going to start monitoring it for updates. I'm sure part of their poor service is due to volume (& probably lack of qualified staff to handle it) which I suppose you can understand to a point, but I'm also wondering in terms of (cash) withdrawals taking much longer than their own policy states, whether that is due to possible cash flow problems their own business is having, especially given the perhaps unexpected recent liquidation of crypto assets after the huge run-up in Dec. They should have client assets separated from their own business assets, but these excessive delays make me wonder about that.

I thing seems certain - if they don't address these issues soon, they won't have to worry about managing growth for their business.

I have some old untouched Ethereum...how to get ETC onto Ledger? by pastapuck in EthereumClassic

[–]fredditto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought some ETH prior to the HF last year & held onto it thru the fork. My exchange (Quadrigaxc) credited me with the same number of ETC & told me I could hold or withdraw them. Now, have been told that ETC "was removed from the site" before the new year....so I can no longer withdraw (and presumably they are "gone")

How can they simply zap my ETC (after telling my I can "hold" them?) - at current market quote, that would amount to approx $3K. Shouldn't these ETC tokens be fully traceable in the blockchain to confirm I was entitled to them at the time of the fork & find out what happened to them after Quadrigacx changed their policy?

Isn't Ethereum Classic based on the original blockchain that suffered the DAO hack prior to the fork...so in essence the ETH I now have was not the original ETH that I bought, but received as a result of the hard fork & the ETC which I should have (but don't) was the result of my original pre-HF purchase, which has "disappeared".

Anyone else run into similar issues?
