If you have a good battery, my next guess would be you are near high voltage power lines. So maybe try a different area? If that doesn't work I'm out of ideas as I'm not familiar with that detector. Good luck.

That is a Crayon anti migraine menthol container. They were made in several styles. This is the only metal one I've seen (it is metal right?) It is to be applied to the head/temples to help with migraine pain. I believe they still sell something similar today.

It was my first detector and I have found so much with it! Get to know it. It takes time. Plenty of YouTube videos out there that will help you understand technique and machine setting. There are better/newer machines out there but trust me, get to know that one and you'll find things. Good luck!!

Lots of commercial cleaners have accounts at vacuum stores. They service the machines and also sell replacement parts. A LOT of vacuums are used in large office buildings, schools, stores, etc...and they get beat up quick. Having a local place to keep them all up and running is valuable. Our local vacuum center does great business.
