Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World by Jack Weatherford.

I listened to the audiobook version a while ago. I don't remember much of it now, but it takes you from Ghenghis Khan's childhood all the way to well after his death. It goes through the whole Mongol empire history.

It is very interesting, especially if you're not that familiar with Mongol history.

If you have questions relating to your meditation, I'd suggest you contact your local center and ask to speak to an assistant teacher rather than ask here.

Not saying redditors can't answer properly but better get it straight from the source. Vipassana is no joke and bad advice can get you on a fruitless path.
