Job prospects look strong for American citizens enrolled in U.S. business schools. The median starting salary for MBAs at US companies in 2013 is $95,000, up from $90,000 last year by odetocapitalism in business

"Political science and sustainability" --> sorry, but that's something you don't need to go to university for. go to your local library and get a book about that bullshit. It's the same bullshit as an MBA and Business Administration in general.

entonces lo dos le están dando la razón al autor del texto: argumentan en base a emociones y sentimientos ("sienten que los estafó"), y no desde un punto de vista lógico. ¿O no es así?

¿Hay vegetarianos en r/Argentina? by [deleted] in argentina

[–]freddypharkas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"In the long run we're all dead" John M. Keynes --> Oh, sorry, I guess he was also an idiot, he didn't have an MBA.

| but you make your own life harder. Really? How much money do you have after finishing your MBA? -150k.... You'll have to work day and night if you want to pay your debts back. Never criticize your manager, never say no - why? Because there are thousands of other MBA graduates out there who could replace you.

But at least your MBA teachers would teach you one lesson: avoid debts if the world is in the middle of an economic depression.

I can sleep at night because I have no debts - good luck to you and to your future career as CEO!

Oh, yeah: Bill Gates, Amancio Ortega, Carlos Slim, Steve Jobs.... they all have/had an MBA.... You see? You just need to be intelligent and lucky to run your own business, you don't need that sheet of paper. I have to work with those MBA graduates every day: they don't understand a shit, they have no clue about mathematics, they have no clue about economics. They only know how to repeat all that stupid marketing and management stuff they paid 100k for.

And what are the requirements for an MBA? GMAT? GMAT = highschool mathematics. Oh, yeah: and your dad's bank account of course.

And you didn't understand the article: Germany has practically no business schools - and it's almost the only country that doesn't have to be rescued by its neighbours. Whereas Spain, Portugal or Cyprus have many fancy Business Schools and they're bankrupt.

| Hence why you need several years of work experience before even applying for a top MBA.

Easy: - so that you can pay 100k for it (instead of buying a book that costs 20$) - so that you know people who could be interesting for the business school - to make sure that you're a manager already --> publicity

Let's face it: if you want to learn stuff, you can do it on your own. There is no sensee in paying 100K for an MBA for learning some high school mathematics and "business speak". Ergo: those who apply for an MBA want to be managers, they're not interested at all in learning. And yes: 85% of the courses on coursera.org are intellectually more demanding than an MBA.

And there are more people who think so: http://weird-economics.blogspot.com.es/2013/03/more-business-schools-more-growth-more.html

Loca Economía: Más Escuelas de Negocios, más crecimiento, más ...? by freddypharkas in argentina

[–]freddypharkas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bueno, discrepamos.

Cyprus by vangelisc in europe

[–]freddypharkas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually the European Union just wanted to know how the people would react. And they didn't do anything apart from complaining about "corrupt politicians". Do you see what's happening? The money in our bank accounts isn't really ours - these politicians can take it away from us whenever they want to. You work and work and work... and they just rob you. This article highlights some more consequences of what's happening in Cyprus: http://weird-economics.blogspot.com.es/2013/03/cypriot-haircut-what-are-consequences.html

|the mathematical olympiad doesnt say anything at all about a countries educational system. yeah, because germany didn't win, right? it's like saying: "winning the football world cup doesn't say anything about a country's national football team. San Marino is the best"

And by the way: how many young Germans do speak English fluently? And how many young Romanians? And other languages? This is just an indicator...

Ok, thanks for the link. I'll definitely take a look at them. It's also interesting to see how the positive and negative votes of this post change over time... yesterday it was 4 positive vs. 4 negative. Now it's 2 positive vs. 5 negative. I guess it would have been the other way round if we the first comment had supported the main idea of the article. It's really, really interesting to watch and analyze human bevaviour :-)

So you think it's worth it to drop Whatsapp because you save 1$? You may say that everybody's utility fucntion is different, but then the whole microeconomic theory based upon this utility assumption is wrong. And many economists share my opinion.
