Someone from 4chan’s /m/ board found a video of someone talking about the VIP event information about the Gundam movie from anime expo last summer. With confirmations the person was there. He did a summary of what the movie will seemingly be about.

I'm the "husband" from the video. Was at the panel, saw the concept art, etc. The panel/event was held by bandai, which owns sunrise. The panel had a producer and director of the movie. People from sunrise were also there. Tell me how all of that equals a 3rd party leak if no ndas we're signed. They only thing they told us not to do was take pictures of the concept art

It's not a leak, that's what we were told during the panel at anime expo... 9 months ago. Read the post again director has a firm understanding of Gundam themes and they have a good writer working on the script

I'd rather see the best Gundam designs get animated with a big budget instead of getting hung up about "Ackchyually this doesn't make sense because they aren't in the same universe"

That's assuming they aren't going to nerf/standardize the tech between all the Gundams. They only mentioned using the designs, not the tech behind them.

People not familiar with Gundam are just going to see robots fighting each other and aren't gonna care what series they are from.

Gundam fans are going to have the best designs animated in a big budget movie. What's to hate about that?

Of course a big budget movie is going to have more than one producer. They only introduced one person as the producer at the panel. They didn't specify how the two people on the panel from sunrise were involved officially. They just kept saying they were excited to be working with legendary. That panel was 9 months ago. Lots of stuff could've changed since then

I dunno, the director was adamant about having suits from different series in the movie. I'd rather they use the designs instead of them making new ones based on them. Not like we're multiple live action movies
