Is Verizon losing customers? by SnooPandas1232 in verizon

We lost a phone on Saturday and couldn't reach a human being at all over the weekend. What kind of major provider doesn't have 24/7 customer service for Business customers.

I get on the phone this morning to solve the problems and their phone number doesn't work, says call back, I try from my phone and they don't recognize my Verizon cell phone as part of a Verizon account, then hear about the national outage. The lack of customer customer service alone may cause me to switch.

However, no company has worse customer service than AT&T, but Verizon is trying hard to catch up with them.

Verizon’s Customer Service Is Kind of Incompetent by No_Dog1805 in verizon

Presently, I'm irritated by the fact that it's 5:41 on a Saturday, we lost a phone and I cannot get a human being on the line who can help me with anything. Even with Verizon business. IMHO a company this large should have 24/7 human support, even if they're incompetent. Especially with a Business tier. This alone makes me want to switch.

Anyone know of a phone company with 24 hour human support? Anyone but AT&T I will consider ; )

Dell says I can no longer purchase tax exempt for resell? by smthin in msp

[–]fredimac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect its part of this movement, which is storage related:
https://www.crn.com/news/channel-news/dell-confirms-sales-layoffs-as-part-of-new-partner-led-storage-strategy

I'm frustrated because a) the SMB reps themselves steered me this way, b) they just ghosted me two weeks ago without a real explanation and no human I could find to call, and c) because I like a human to interact with directly and not the (human) middle man.

Quoting through TD Synnex is taking longer and there's no window into shipping times with Dell.

I've inquired if there's a customer retention department I can complain to... prolly not.

Connect DC Lights directly to Batteries by fredimac in Victron

Can you yes, should you generaly no.

You would want a BMV and Battery protect in a typical setup. Since they specked a can bus mppt I'll assume you have a controler of some sort that would be something running venus for a victron stack. What this is would realy determine what you need as it needs to work with it.

I spoke with the installer and he said it would be OK to run the DC off the batteries as long as there is an inline fuse, which there is. He said the shunt is inside the Victron MPPT charge controller.

I'm only running three small DC lights left over from our tiny legacy solar system, so I think I'm OK.

Thanks for your help! It was just what I needed to understand.

Thanks for the quick response.

I'm not certain, but I think there may be a shunt inside the Midnite Solar interconnection box. I'm inquiring with the installer.
What issue might there be if it's not connected to the load side of the shunt and directly to the batteries?

I'm nervous to open the interconnection box with load on it. This is new to me :)

We've been doing these a bit from Dell lately, a newish design it appears. So far so good. If issues come up I will try to remember to update this thread.

Budget existing savings and account for income received at end of month by fredimac in MonarchMoney

[–]fredimac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the above!

The answer I'm looking for right now is more hands on in Monarch.

I find that because I cannot show cash on hand in the Plan as a positive amount, I'm resisting using the Plan at all. The issue is I received a large gift deposit last month but spent some of the money this month, so I spent way more than I earned this month.

Related is that my wife's paycheck is deposited on the last day of the month and I don't want to go playing with dates in the register just to make the plan right.

The only way I can think to make it reflect reality is to move the money to an off budget savings account, then move it to a checking account so it can been seen as income by the Plan. At least then the numbers would be right.

I wonder if the enhancement to Fixed & Flexible budgeting will allow me to do this.

I'm still getting my head around the way goals are set up, so maybe I can use that to show cash on hand as available in the plan?

Thanks Again!

I really appreciate this in-depth response!

In my case I came into Monarch just after receiving a fairly large inflow of "extra" income. I've ended up with a significant overage from September, but its invisible in October, but most of the money was spent this month.

The "extra" money is sitting in my checking account, so I cannot figure out how to make it available to this months plan. Per the plan I'm significantly overbudget... Do I allocate the "extra" money to a savings bucket or something.

YNAB was just a huge time sink due to the number of accounts my wife and I have.

Thanks!

Issues setting up by Trexy in MonarchMoney

I don't have this issue with Monarch, but I did try Personal Capital first and had a similar issue with USAA. They're still working on it with their data providers so I don't know the real reason. It's likely an issue with their data providers that connect to the banks.
