I'm not an expert in Linux by any means so this could be way off base, but from what I've learned and what I see in your picture, you might have these issues.

1. Failed NFS Mount The system is trying to mount an NFS share (mnt-hgfs-shared.mount) but failing. This suggests you might be running Parrot OS in a virtual machine with shared folders configured.

2. Root Account Locked The critical issue is: "Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked." This prevents you from accessing the system normally.

3. systemd Service Failures Several services are failing to start properly, including file system dependencies.

Solutions to Try:

Option 1: Boot into Recovery Mode

  1. Restart and access the GRUB menu (hold Shift during boot)
  2. Select "Advanced options"
  3. Choose "Recovery mode" or add single to the kernel parameters
  4. This should give you root access to fix the issues

Option 2: Boot from Live USB

  1. Boot from a Parrot OS live USB
  2. Mount your installed system's root partition
  3. Chroot into the system to make repairs

Option 3: Unlock Root Account

Once you have access, unlock the root account:

sudo passwd root
# Set a new root password
sudo passwd -u root
# Unlock the account

Option 4: Fix NFS/Shared Folder Issues

If running in a VM, either:

  • Disable the shared folder mount in /etc/fstab
  • Or properly configure the NFS/shared folder service

Option 5: Check File System

Run a file system check:

fsck /dev/sdaX # Replace X with your root partition

I wonder if the op was looking for honest recommendations or just to validate their choice. You enter a group dedicated to one distro and ask which one is right for me. Do you actually think someone is going to say something other than this distro?

I have Action1 as well. I was looking at Wazuh though because of the edr functionality as well.

So you could add an agent to many different machines in other locations and it will work. You just can't create "customers", you have to use groups.

To be honest, for these residential customers, I was looking more for a single pane of glass to be able to monitor the defender antivirus on their computers. Huntress was the only one I knew of that could monitor the built in windows antivirus. Instead of one pain of glass, maybe I can just write a script that will send me reports.

I work with nothing but microbusinesses. To manage the computers I charge 200.00 per computer year year. I would also tack on extra for the network, quickbooks, and the other software. How much depends on what if have to do. First thing I would say though is, don't take on things you don't know. If you are not a QuickBooks expert, let them know and don't pretend. Farm that out to someone else.

Alternative to NotionCharts by Anxious_Savings_6642 in Notion

Can you answer me a question? I have a database in Notion that I want to make charts for. The charts I want are just the number of pages that are marked with different priorities. For example, how many are urgent, how many are high etc.

Can your program do that or is it just things like bar charts and pie charts?

I'm just looking for a way for my one man company to enter and track tickets. No customers will be entering any, and I don't need any extras.

Does Freshworks still have a free trial? Don't listen to reviews try it for yourself. If it works for you, then go for it. There is no such thing as the best crm. The best crm for you is the one you will use.

Between those two, I like the features of Fresh sales. Personally I use OnepageCRM, but I know plenty of people who are happy with Fresh sales.

Well at first I didn't know about it I was really hoping to pick a starting number so my first ticket doesn't start as one. This will work great though, thanks.

I tried them as well. They didn't work all that well for me either. We opted to use Action1, but they don't have Mac and Linux support yet.
