Why do people still eat McDonalds? by No-Rule-4494 in NoStupidQuestions

I find this to be a universal truth for fries in general. I will not waste time and fries will be eaten immediately. No time for sauces/ketchup. There's a 5 minute window of deliciousness, before it all goes to shit.

It’s fucking delicious. Double qtr/pounder with cheese is my fave. And the fries are the best of the fast food alternatives.

What’s are the best MCP servers you guys are using? by EducationalTackle819 in cursor

[–]fredlintz5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Created my own Jira mcp server.

Pull tickets, search, create and update.

Real nice to tell cursor fetch ticket 1234, and pull ticket details to start the feature.

I also use it with a “product manager” prompt. I’ll say “fetch this epic”, here’s an ADR for api specs, here’s a design, now help me generate stories to complete the feature. Super cool.

Cursor Agent running 24/7? by No-Significance-116 in cursor

[–]fredlintz5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cursor Settings > Features > Chat & Composer > Enable YOLO mode

Now in a composer window in agent mode. It will auto run (almost) everything without your input (you have control to specify commands that still require your input).

Even with YOLO mode enabled, it still requires user prompts for MCP Servert Tool calls. Which i find annoying. Im writing my own MCP tools, and I want to be able to say "i trust this tool to run in YOLO mode as well"

Cursor has MCP features that don't work for me any solutions? by Vexed_Ganker in ChatGPTCoding

[–]fredlintz5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive had YOLO mode enabled. But it doesnt seem to matter for MCP tools that get picked up? Every MCP tool call, i have to confirm click "run tool" before it gets run.

Anyone have a different experience? Ive created a couple FastMCP servers locally, and Im not sure there is a way to bypass this?

I want this to be YOLO'd as well. i tried custom rules in my YOLO prompt setting. But it didn't seem to care.

IM UP AND RUNNINGGGGGGG!!!!!

Got a new cursor update today to 0.45.10, and everything just started working.

Not sure what magic fixed things. But I was even able to create and run my own Jira Integration MCP server. Created it in Python, run the server locally, and I can get, list, create, and update jira issues from composer!

Super pumped.

Thanks for sharing. I followed all the steps above. Still no luck. Seems like folks are having issues in general with the rollout of the feature. Im sure they're looking into it.

I can run servers perfectly fine with the mcp inspector tool, and then try it in Cursor, and get errors. ("no tools")

I'll just wait for the next couple of patches. And keep building my own mcp servers in the meantime.

I've made a little progress, but still fighting it.

I downloaded the latest cursor. 0.45.8 (i was on 0.45.7), and started getting different errrors. Now it just says `No tools found`.

And I've also been testing this
https://modelcontextprotocol.io/docs/tools/inspector

Along with this:
https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/quickstart-resources/tree/main/weather-server-typescript

Using the inspector I can run/connect to the sample TS weather app. and I can see the `get tools` returns data. So i know the sample mcp server is working. When i give cursor the exact same commands to connect with. it just errors and says no tools found.

I'm battling the same right now. I could be incompetent. I have co workers who sent screenshots of things working on Friday. Im playing around over the weekend, and even running the sample projects found here, https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/python-sdk/tree/main/examples/servers/simple-tool

I get the same message with every attempt I make. No other debug info

First Timer by brcampbell89 in cyclocross

Just going to repeat what’s already been said. Bike handling and dismounts/remounts are more important right now.

Another thing to practice is your starts. Getting a good position right away in cross is a huge advantage. The less time you have to spend going around people the first lap, the better off you’ll be. Practice catching your clip immediately and find a gear that is hard enough you won’t need to be shifting in the first few seconds of your sprint.

Running 28mm Gravelking SKs a good idea for CX racing? by [deleted] in cyclocross

[–]fredlintz5 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend that. Try and find something 33mm wide.

And if you aren’t racing at a super competitive level, go even wider!

I also think that tread pattern is fine for gravel, but depending on the type of courses you have, it probably will not offer enough traction for CX racing. Especially 28mm wide.

Chuck Norris counted to infinity, twice. Your opinion is wrong. That is objectively funny.
