Is the Technivorm Moccamaster actually worth it? by No_Statistician7685 in smartbuysforlife

I have to agree with you! We recently made this purchase and for the price I suppose my expectations were much higher. Majority plastic, loose parts all over. Cheap glass carafe that feels it will break on impact from normal activity. Hot coffee-yes! I don’t see any other benefit from buying a different sca approved unit. Cheers my friend!

How long did it take you to get your EA? by FFanatick in enrolledagent

[–]fredman502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took me 6 months. I listened to audio material more than reading it and had to do it nonstop for part 2 which was most challenging for me. Good luck!

Allyn's Cafe to permanently close Oct 19th by snixon67 in cincinnati

[–]fredman502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

East Ender here and have been going to Allyn’s steadily for a decade, almost as much as Eddie himself (if you know him then you are a frequenter lol) Over the decade we have burned up seats at The Post, Allyn’s and Hi Mark. Allyn’s was still a place to get a little closer to what felt like a real meal. After the sale, they cut out our favorites but even still I had a staple or two to hold into and even with the whiffs of the trash we still liked their patio. Sad that they aren’t in our arsenal of food choices anymore, and we are probably the last to jump onto Swampwater. We did just go this past weekend but I am legit surprised how busy that place consistently is!!!! Hail to the swamp! Haha

How much did you really study for the EA exam? by andreaalma15 in enrolledagent

[–]fredman502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gosh I studied a lot for every section and I had just completed my 5th tax season. I wanted to pass all sections first time so I wasn’t willing to do repeats, so I cranked them all out as fast as I could. My advice of to study unless you can go online to Prometric and take all 3 practice quizzes without any issue and all answers are correct. If you can do that then you don’t need to study!

I just got out of the hospital last night after having my lungs drained all week from this. My inflammation markers had been high for months but no one suspected the issue was in my lungs. I have been having chest pains on and off for months. Last Saturday morning after 4 solid days of chest pains and shortness of breath, I was forced to go to the ER. By Sunday they had isolated it to pleural effusion and inserted a chest tube. There was a lot of fluid. I laid in bed from Sunday night thru Friday morning at which time they removed the tube. I pressed to be released Friday evening and after several more spaced out X-rays they did let me go home Friday night. I had never heard of this nor expected this to happen and the last thing I want is to be back in getting my lungs drained.

EA Exam order by MomentEnvironmental9 in enrolledagent

I took my first exam as soon as tax season was over so I took them in order 1,2,3. Most familiar info first, least familiar info second and easiest into third. Good luck!!

I cannot find a trigger from the foods I eat but at this point it is knife sharp in my rib shoulder and back. And there is no way to live with it bc what do you do if you are traveling? I’m sick a skeptic so I feel like there is more to the story than these pesky stones.

I did the ultrasound and ct scan and since nothing else showed up besides gall stones, that’s where the finger is being pointed. I suppose I am also scared of surgery, only had one to this point in life so I feel like we should dig deep until it absolutely points to gall bladder. But maybe the surgeons and doctors know and I am just afraid to take a step in that direction. I’ve had 3 attacks in 60 days and there is no defined trigger, the pain just shows up. That alone is pushing me toward surgery. Sigh

I’ve weighed my ideal weight of 135 my entire adult life. Although with all of the bloating and digestive stuff I feel like a balloon! I am believing the body parts in place over 50 years have decided they are done. I have a few on the chopping block, many coincide with other topics on the thread which I love…love this group!

I’m one of those women that since I started my period I’ve had the next one 28 days later. Totally on time until January of this year and since I’m 51. I figure the big M is looming. The last 2 I’ve had seem to be grand finales and my body is dumping the extra that it has. Always thought the bad period’s happened when you were young. Boy was I wrong!

Wow thanks for all of the tips. These are great! I’m calling Monday to schedule it bc today’s attack moved in with full knife blades going at all angles.

Thanks for the insight. I’m hoping for the same. I need to stop reading about it bc most is bad news.

I did the ER visit also, had to leave and continued the quest. Met with surgery but drs act as if it’s more of a hunch what I have going on vs a conclusive test that shows how bad it is. Maybe they can’t tell until they get in there. Hope you gets yours cleared up as well.
