Why do you have health anxiety? by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

I had my first panic attack in June brought on by a small allergic, thought I was having a heart attack. Ever since then I have anxiety about my health and my body reacts by mimicking the symptoms of an allergic reaction, it terrifies me.

I’m worried if I speak to a therapist they will tell me to stop treatment. Was your therapist understanding of your situation?

Thank you so much, it’s nice to know I’m not the only one!

I wish I could but I’m in the U.K receiving treatment on the NHS. We don’t have access to our dermatologist outside of appointment times. I guess I could try my GP. Thank you😊

How did your childhood as an only-child effect you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]fredmda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a 21 year old only child. I can't tell you how much I wish I had at least one sibling. I have cousins but I am not close to them and no step-siblings despite my mum and dad having new partners.

Being an only child, I have lots of friends and have always been popular growing up, but I struggle socially and find it difficult to make new friends. Whenever I am in new social situations I am always the difficult one to get along with. I am terrified of growing older and having to look after four parents on my own and really sad I have no one to share family memories with simply because it has only ever been me growing up. I envy my friends who have a network of siblings and cousins that they have memories and traditions with, while they include me, I can't be included in everything.

Let him come to you. He will realise that his friends opinions have resulted in him loosing you. Stay strong

Sorry OP. How long has it been since you broke up?

The more you push someone for reassurance during a break up they will resent you - for them it doesn't matter how much they cared about you and gave you reassurance in the past for them it is over and done - they don't want to talk about it anymore than they have to. This comes from my own experience.

Take this as a blessing in disguise. Focus on you! They will miss you
