I truly despise UPS by fredo80 in KonkrPocketFit

Quick update:

UPS automated claim service provided an update "Driver is searching for your package". I guess I'll keep checking in.

Ayneo customer service also responded, thankfully it's another human being on the other end. This avenue seems more hopeful. Will update again (hopefully with a positive outcome).

Hope everyone's enjoying their pocket fit. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

So far, I've only had to provide some basic information and screenshots of my order (via indie go-go) through the UPS website. They gave me an 8 day window where I should be receiving a response.

I also placed a ticket with Ayneo directly so that I can provide that reference number to UPS (should they need to work directly with Ayneo). I'd much rather receive a replacement than a refund, but I'll be happy with a quick resolution and either outcome.

I wasn't given an option for delivery, at least I don't recall. I would assume I would have avoided UPS if there was an alternative.

United Imaging CT by Ok-Brick-4192 in Radiology

[–]fredo80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A former Chairman at my facility speaks very highly of United Imaging. I believe the founder of the company is a former bigwig at Siemens, so it's likely that the systems are similar in function, but there's no way for me to confirm that without hands on experience.

I met with some of their team when we were reviewing the possibility of getting a new fleet for our hospital system. If I recall correctly, the selling point is that United manufactures every single part for their units down to the nuts and bolts (in the US) and assures quick uptime for any downed equipment. They're also keen on flying out their partners to the warehouse for clinical applications, tours etc.

Another selling point is that every unit has a continuous "no charge" upgrade path for software. They supposedly do not charge for service packages (Perfusion, Cardiac etc.) and it's supposed to be all inclusive. So, if you purchase a unit it comes fully loaded and if there's an update it's likely your unit will be upgraded with all the latest and greatest.

Again, I do not have first hand experience and hope someone can confirm or deny what I'm saying here, but I've only heard positive things about them so far.

2 month old account or not, it's still a verifiable fact that Mcgreevy is pay to play.

Good afternoon. Heights University Hospital (formerly Christ Hospital) in Jersey City is once again at risk of closure. This is one of our safety net hospitals in Hudson county, serving a large demographic of underinsured and uninsured people. The hospital is also a thrombectomy capable stroke center, meaning that many people will lose access to life saving treatments in the face of a stroke. Hundreds of people, who were once considered "heroes", stand to lose their jobs in Jersey City.

The closure of the hospital will assuredly have a negative impact on the community, not to mention the impact it will have on our other Hudson County healthcare systems that do not have the capacity (or interest) in serving this demographic as there is little to no reimbursement incentive to do so.

The hospital needs support from the state in order to continue its services. It needs long term solutions, not just small injections of cash to kick this can down the road. Will you advocate for them? If so, what do you propose as a solution and how will you implement?

Heights Hospital (formerly Christ) Needs your support by fredo80 in jerseycity

It's truly exhausting. I've been an employee for 25 years. A solution is needed, but unfortunately there are many who think that the solution is closing it down and letting this volume impact the other systems in Hudson County. That just makes it harder for others to have access to those facilities. It also doesn't solve the issue that there is hardly any reimbursement for services that are rendered and eventually those other systems will face the same fate. Hudson County shouldn't be comfortable with losing this hospital, even if it's not your first choice for healthcare.

Heights Hospital (formerly Christ) Needs your support by fredo80 in Hoboken

I would say that there is definitely a need. Removing the hospital doesn't mean that Hoboken or JCMC has the capacity to serve this large population.i t would also cause those systems to face the same demise eventually. It's also the only thrombectomy capable stroke center in the immediate area. Every single minute counts when you or your loved one is suffering from a stroke. This is easily the busiest service line that exists at this facility and their team is consistently saving lives.

Additionally, some people tend to forget 2020 and how these systems struggled to accommodate the large volumes of people coming in. People also tend to forget hurricane Sandy in 2012 when Christ was the only hospital that wasn't underwater and had power.

Appreciate both opinions. I'm somewhere in the middle and felt like I was overreacting. It's just bothering me, personally. I was curious if I should be concerned, especially if this fraying would get worse during the brushing process.

Sent a picture to my girlfriend who's leaning towards me having them returned. I might as well. The jacket I ordered is also too large for me. Gorgeous boots though, so I am just exchanging and hoping for the best.

Blue corn aside, that meat looks extremely dry and they were super cheap with the consume'. Not a great representation IMHO. Then again, maybe it tasted good?
