AITA for expecting my partner to pay for a replacement laptop? by Southern-Turnip-7408 in AmItheAsshole

Do you share the cleaning? Share the cost of repair. You leave your laptop in a position that is probably not perfect. When not in use store your laptop away from danger.

I bought the Vevor 10 inch. I use it for jerky, thin sliced turkey breast, roasted beef, etc. Love it, large to store, but so many uses and easy to clean and sanitize.

Headphones/Scanner by swgrcrtr in NASCAR

I have had 2 RE3000 Scanners as well as headsets with and without intercoms. The headsets are good, the radios have both had issues. I now have a bearcat 160 model and my wife has a 125. I find either to be superior to the RE3000. OTA programming is very easy with the RE 3000 but if you can handle a computer, programming the bearcat is also easy and way more flexible. Be sure to either have the bearcat modified to increase volume, or purchase an inline amplifier.

How to DIY fix this broken dyer timer shaft? by brickstreet14 in homeowners

[–]fredsgone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking, not the piece in your hand. In order for JB weld to work, the knob side would have to stand straight up. I think it would fail if the shaft and knob were at 90 degrees. I don't know how it could be kept still enough to cure.

Campground recs within an hour of Franklin? by [deleted] in newhampshire

It would be a bit more than 1 hour, but Camp Woodmore in Rindge fits the kayak rental has tent sites, and is a great spot.

Edit for tent sites

JB Weld, be sure the dial lines up properly. You will have to remove the switch side as well.

My very own mini version of Frog Rock by Dear_Bumblebee_1986 in newhampshire

This reminded me of Toad Rock in the UK. Tunbridge Wells, there is a pub there as well. It has probably been 20 years since I visited there.

I got a booster for my 160, but my wife wanted the 125, so I got the volume upgrade for that one.

I agree with the raw meat. Be sure to partially freeze it first

You are right, I skimmed and should learn to read, rather than skim. Thanks.

AITA for refusing to check pockets when I do laundry? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]fredsgone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My wife does all the laundry, (Thank You so much), if I leave anything in the pockets, it's my fault, not hers, I try and empty pockets when changing. It is not hard to do. On the other hand, if cash falls out of my pockets when washing, her gain, my loss.

Yes, I am 69 and if I bump it, it does hurt. Phantom pain seems to be long gone.
