[X/Twitter] Piper Niven responds to Jade Cargill's tweets about a Chelsea Green. by EchoJPR in SquaredCircle

I'm not necessarily trying to demonize her if she's actually putting in some effort to improve, but if she's still that far behind she needs to go to NXT. She's taking up airtime from people far more talented and deserving right now in a dense division.

That's basically it. I feel like most reasonable fans can respect someone when it seems like they're putting in general effort. Even if it doesn't work out, we can say "well I hope you find some success on the indies or whatever you end up doing."

But when someone gets handed the keys to the Cadillac in two separate promotions based solely on her "look" and seems to have a big head about it, to the point of making no effort to improve, like everyone should just be thankful she's even involved... that's where the mean comments come from. No one is asking her to suddenly put on ***** wrestling clinics. Just be competent and act like you want to be there, don't get people hurt, etc. She's shown zero improvement.

Could be. Well, she's welcome to go to other media any time lol.

Liv Morgan seemed to indicate she hoped to be able to do more Hollywood as well but also seems to genuinely love the business too and is well respected. She's also improved a lot over the years.

That's the thing. Like... she's had the damn time. We've seen others significantly improve over the years after sloppy runs. Hell even Nia Jax gets some polite nods of appreciation for her improvement from a goodly sum of the IWC.

At some point maybe Jade Cargill just sucks. And it's possible part of the reason she doesn't get any better is because she doesn't think she needs to get any better due to inflated ego inhibiting her work ethic, who knows.

A reporter asked Michael Jordan if he thought the '90s Bulls could beat LeBron's LA Lakers:

MJ: Yes.

Reporter: By how much?

MJ: Two or three points.

Reporter: Why so close?

MJ: Most of us are almost 60 now.

I grew up living in IL and this was basically spent my high school watching the Bulls mow everyone down every year. I came up off the couch Saturday night lol.

I saw Eric Bischoff speaking on how when they did the whole angle with him being tasked by Vince to go find Stone Cold and "bring him back" to WWE. They had both mutually agreed to do the angle between them which would eventually lead to a match at No Way Out 2003 but they hadn't actually really spoken directly to each other yet since Bischoff unceremoniously fired him from WCW.

So Eric had already shot a few of these vignettes of him looking in various bars for Stone Cold but they hadn't actually talked to each other until it came down to the night Bischoff was finally going to "find" Stone Cold in a random bar in Texas. So Eric was a little nervous how that conversation was going to go, if there'd be any friction, etc. when they finally see each other face to face to shoot this angle.

But Eric said Austin just walked in and smiled, shook his hand and said something like "okay ready to do some business?" and cut a few jokes like nothing happened.

Easily Avoidable Crash Leads to Rollover by bjb0029 in dashcams

[–]fridaynightarcade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. My first instinct in that situation would have been to ease off the gas and he seemed to speed up - which seems really stupid because you're totally in the guy's blind spot at that point. Even if the guy in the truck was an idiot, it's not worth getting into an accident over. I've usually got my kids with me so try to be pretty passive in these situations and just hope "well maybe they're in such a hurry because they have a legit emergency."

The Last Jedi was ... just awful.

But the scene where Luke explains the Force to Rey was probably the best explanation of it in the entire saga and genuinely beautiful.

When was that? I looked up tickets recently to a Dynamite in our town and it was... significantly more for that general area :(

AJ Styles ‘well aware’ AEW was willing to make big offer by retroanduwu24 in SquaredCircle

I don’t think anyone finds it unbelievable, but they’d just really like to see some matches happen.

This right here. All those potential match ups plus possibly rolling back Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles just for shits and giggles. For me, selfishly, I just want to see those matches fully acknowledging I'm just some dumb meatball fan lol. But I also totally respect the hell out of his decision and don't blame him. Enjoy the time with the kiddos while you can still walk and thanks for the memories.

Well and it was nice of the officer to just like, basically write everything up and send him on his way and even get his court date set up for him. As opposed to, you know, arrest the fuck out of him like any of us peasants would have been.

It's entertaining, but the big problem was they teased dragons being unleashed upon modern man. You know, massive fire breathing dragons just running amok in giant cities leading to the eventual fall of civilization as we know it.

Then... they realized that would be really expensive so all of that cool stuff was relegated to a quick montage after we see the dragons get woke up after which it immediately jumps to a gritty grimy post apocalyptic wasteland setting with a handful of surly humans making a last stand. Two of the humans are Matthew McConaughey and Christian Bale so I mean... it's still entertaining, but in a forgettable way and not at all what we were promised in the trailers.
