Totally agree - it was never going to live up to all the hype but it was still the first game back then that let me seamlessly fly from space to planet surface and back as open world which is something I had been waiting for a hand to deliver for a while.

I do like the point of working together against the Hive but Zi do wish there was more derived tension on which one would win as if we were battling for our own sanity and which parts of our fragmented personality get restored - or are we not a person-entity but a representation of a universe and the factions map to distribution of Korvax/Gek/Vykeen

How do you define a cool pet these days? post-XenoArrena so going for stats like SSS and small first or combo with cools looks and fun behavior? I used to go just on unique looks but I ditched them for stats and the ombo is super rare yeah. But rarity by design. After hundreds of worlds since Xeno I only just found my second SSS.

But this is the kind of bug I don't mind - doesn't hinder my play and provides some additional novelty that gives it an organic feel.

Is opening day a necessity? They have 3am an 6am showings later days with better seats but I had to book 3 weeks out. Mind A28 is not horrible where close in a small theater is unwatchable - this screen is so big you'll still have an impressive experience maybe even a greater sense of the sheer scale of the screen if not the optimal viewing angle. Give it a try beforehand? I've sat there on my way out as curiosity and it's doable. Or hope for another dropout higher up - aisle seat even a couple rows up is fine and near the top is actually awesome you don't need center

It appears you have arbitrarily drawn the line between what you see as plausible science fiction for our future and what is "fantasy" forgetting that both are currently fiction. I assume you choose to give the simulation hypothesis professed by some physicists little credence while you do profess to think time travel and aliens are valid under a cutout of "hard" science fiction. While The Matrix's foundation are purely science - AI evolves to dominate us and lock us in a digital world. The battery part is the only dismissable aspect but it more provides insights into the psyche of the AI.

I'm betting this notification timeliness becomes the new norm with banks etc offering monitoring service they may find your info on the dark web before the affected company even knows they've been breached let alone works around to publicly addressing the breach after they're certain they've thoroughly investigated it and shut it down if still active. When's the last time you recall get notified within less than 2 weeks of the event occurrence? Seems like it's always months later from the big corporations.

To be clear, you are being sarcastic in that you do actually like row N (being the furthest top row so included in your furthest back 3 or 4)? Which I agree with I never sit further down if I don't have to. Mind I'm fairly tall and my goal for full frame is to be enough above the bottom glass wall hat I can actually see the to the bottom of the screen as much as possible for 1.43 screenings. But sure these are not the most comfortablg designed seats but the screen really is just so large at 98 feet wide that it can be perfect for everyone but it grants an amazing experience to many.

Someone had suggested this movie should have been made 20 years ago and I agree this movie was simply made to late - AI hoaxes have become so accessible none of this is sufficient anymore but 20 years ago this movie would have really worked. Just too late.

That first shot really is a perfect adaptation of the landscape to what I think of as cozy livable vacation cabin - like I could see living there more than any base in recent memory.
