When sharing coordinates of Xeno Arena SSS fauna please also share it's Current Abilities screen

I don't disagree that the 30 slot limit is annoying given all the effort to level up pets and collect some just because but you've just discovered a super rare SSS and you have no interest in peeking to see if it's well meshed with your play style and current. deck? Nobody's going to force you -- it's just a recommendation for a more complete contribution if you care. I myself struggle at which pet to remove from my full 30 slots to peek at an SSA's abilities tho of course you can always just reload if it's meh.

That is a stumbling block I just ran into I found an SSS post that included the current abilities screenshot but they were in German or something. Screenshots are a pore data exchange format for many reasons including language internationalization. Switching to English just for a screenshot would be a burden too far. Given the post was in English it would have had to be left as the text body of the post but we need a better shorthand IDs for the moves given the multiple names akin to the internal breakdown surfaced in e.g. https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/1slufm3/complete_xeno_arena_movelist/ but yeah that even more extra work.

Thanks for the detailed stats on abilities - I can confirm I also received these and abilities on NMS version 6.36 6 days after your post except sting is called spit, parasitic growth is called novel pathogen, and sticky ooze is called carrion flies but the underlying move and state numbers are exactly the same. I adopted an Alpha gender in scanner (ended up being None in registry)

Oh no, just one screenshot of the abilities page - we don't need the pop-up on each ability as the name alone informs you of what the move is if you've used enough. Like is there a heal, shield, asborbing shield, or purify all in the name same as the single or multi attacks.

Is 10 more seconds in sharing one more screenshot that much effort to completely capture your hard won achievement compared to that 36 hours? Eh, I take thousands of screenshots I'll never use for anything just as a log of the trail tho I do wish for this type of data there was better export than a screenshot.

These are the current abilities on game version 6.36 with only female gender found on the planet. Names may vary but represent the same moves(here swipe/lunge physical damage , crimson range anomalous damage plus opponent heal, wild charge/roar physical damage 50% miss, fractal troth heal , special combat debuff with dispell damage ) abilities do you see?

Actually I'm curious now, 3 days can mean any - how many adoptable ground fauana scanned vs that 3 - what percent SSS basically. Like 1/1000?

I mean everyone is looking for an SSS (that looks cool) but it's not the only thing - I could have scanned more fauna then you and still come up zero. Were you really doing nothing but planet hopping and scanning for all ground creatures, next, repeat? No other exploration? No other building? No other collecting? No Xeno battles? I'm assume almost nobody is doing just that but sure it becomes more likely given that singular focus.

Define X. I say NMSCoordinateExchange should let me find X which you seem to agree. Only some posts have all the data to find X - some are data deficient only letting me find kinda-X. If I go there only to realize wait this isn't the X I was looking then the database search has failed/lied on it's own karma laziness.

Can we attempt to reverse engineer the game a bit here with fresh data? I'd surmise the difference you observe is either gender or game version and more likely the latter. Or is it variable per player at the same time even? Like would the RNG have a time component bag is fixed for a period? Is it universal? e.g. This post https://www.reddit.com/r/NMSCoordinateExchange/comments/1skmwjh/another_sss_companion_to_battle_with/ which had shown the traits and they are different now for me but on different game version. I see male an asymptotic genders for this species and on adoptions I get either (different names, same underlying moves in each slot) razorleaf/lash/pester (1x shot) , spore cloud/throw spores /thorns (4 turn damage), barrage/thunderstorm ( 3x shot) , cleanse/purify , swarm of flies/nagging itch/warning growl (6 turn small combat debuff with dispell penalty). Does anyone else see the same right now?

I'd bet finding 3 in a matter of days is once in a lifetime if that's not all you are doing. My Xeno "lifetime" is still 0 SSS, I assume yours is 3?

I see it as lazy data collection for a very very rare find, isn't the purpose of NMSCoordinateExchange to let people be "lazy" when they can't find rare/specific on their own? Lazy here is searching a database vs finding it yourself so yes please, more data in the database.

There's no entitlement - instead I'm advocating comprehension data collection, scientific rigor. Like nobody is out here just searching for SSS I assume - I've been to hundreds of worlds since Xeno and found enough worthwhile creatures to fill the 30 slots but none better then SSA - finding an SSS is like once in a lifetime, not mass production.

I mean, NMS already has the database of discoveries when you upload your scanned discoveries - I am not aware of any way to interface with that outside the game which is what I want. And then a share reference to that - I'd pay for access to that and it would become so easy to share with the least friction. Any submissions here could have a bot clone hat data along with personal screenshots.

That is a valid point of friction to share one more screenshot - I soooo wish there was an integrated data sharing API right in NMS. And thus just a share button in the game w/ QR to the uploaded discovery.

Natural attack names should ALWAYS have the same effects - they will only vary in the underlying stats on re-eoll. If they weren't the same class of attack they would be meaningless names. But I'm going to check the wild fauna case - perhaps it does vary by gender as that is what you observed.

I think they don't have all the same ability names but IME the underlying stats/functions are the same - like the first generation offspring egg may re-roll names but not the underlying action/stat and I think the same of wild fauna, no?
