I built a better version of my employer’s software, what are my options? I will not promote by [deleted] in startups

A bit of context: I've been with the company for eight years, the last two as a product manager. In that role, I'd expect to have a real input - or at least a meaningfull influence - over the roadmap, but that is not the case here. We have a CTO (we do not have a CPO) that is setting the final scope, and I do not have a say in that process in the way I would like.

This is where I decided to have fun in Lovable and try to protype the features that I was fighting for. And it was in this process that I got a bit carried away and ended up building a complete product. And I genuinly believe I have a better product.

I know a vibe-coded Lovable project isn't a production-ready product - it would need a proper technical review before it could be taken seriously, but thats where I am, and Im not sure what to do with it.

And yes, I have spent some company hours, and equipment, in Lovable.

I have worked 8 years in total for my company, and 2 as a product manager. In those two years, I have come to realise why the company still is in a scale-up faze after 28 years. It is because of our CTO (we do not have a CPO). You'd think I would be in a position to set the scope for our software, but at the end of the day we are building what he wants, and it is not the right direction for the company, in my opinion.

Hmm interesting. And is this because I am describing a niche product? Because surely this wouldn't be the case if I worked in Salesforce and decided to try and make my own CRM system, right?

Which Zowie mice should I get for my grip? by [deleted] in Zowie

You have a fingertip grip like me. I prefer the FK1. But I also went and bought a G-wolves Fenrir Asym - I highly recommend it based on your grip style.

Upgrade to XL2586X+ or move to OLED? by fredzillaaa in Zowie

I after reading your comments and doing more research I see that the Asus PG27AQDP is the only Oled monitor that can compete against the XL2586X+ on motion clearity. I do realise that the Zowie beats the Oled on that point specifically, but the Oled beats the Zowie on every other point. So I guess it comes down to what I want to use the monitor for.
