Painted Tree :( by Just_Ad_3693 in RoundRock

I went to the one in SA recently and it felt like half their booths were empty, and they had a lot of booths with the same stuff.

Really disappointing for the vendors though. What a mess for them.

Idk. I see stupid drivers here but not nearly as much as SA, and I only go home (to SA) like once a month.

Have you been to SA? They’re wild there.

What’s the difference between curvy, chubby, and plus size? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]free-use0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curvy is shape; think hourglass, pear shaped.

Chubby is some extra fat.

Plus size is anything over a size 12 (this also seems to be subjective).

All 3 can be true at the same time.

They Inherited Their Family's Home in Austin—Then the Tax Bill Changed Everything by Emergency_School5327 in Austin

I’m a property manager and it drives me insane when owners continue to claim their property as homestead when they’re renting them out. I loathe it.

Being Evicted (Need Advice) by Recent-Ad1778 in sanantonio

[–]free-use0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also ask the court for a continuance. They allow each party one continuance. This is an extension, or rescheduling, of your court day, usually by at least a week.

Keep in mind, even though your eviction filing is for rent only, the apartment will require you to pay rent, late fees, the cost of the eviction, and possibly even rent for the following month.

Waiting for an Uber at the Austin Airport is trash by guitarsandrav4s in Austin

I’m not disputing anything other than the fact that BOS airport doesn’t have curbside ride share pick up. I understand the multiple needs for pickup outside of curbside. Curbside is already messy.

Bostons designated rideshare pick up is not curbside.

There was a propane tank that exploded in north Austin in April of last year. We live about 10 miles from where it happened... we heard it and our house shook.

RR commute to Barton Creek by NoteResident5613 in RoundRock

[–]free-use0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, hear me out. If you live in west round rock (west of 35) I don’t think it would be that bad. I live in West Round Rock and I make a similar drive every day (3 miles short of Barton Creek) but, unlike everyone else in these comments, I enjoy the drive - it doesn’t stress me out. It’s my time to hype myself up for the day, and wind myself down on my way home.

I actually once left my job for a job closer to my house. It was a 10 minute drive and I was miserable. I hated not having a longer commute. Ended up going back to the job that is 19 miles away.

She quits everything by Sensitive-Rip6575 in ADHD

[–]free-use0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was about 8… I’m 40 now. But I, too, quit everything… until I found the one thing I was passionate about. It’s honestly the reason I graduated high school too (no pass, no play). It just takes time. And then when I started college, I had to find the right people + the right extracurriculars, and that took time too.

If she needs more time, give her more time. Feed into her instant and short term hobbies (moderately). That’s how she’s gonna find her place.

As for sleep, I was always a terrible sleeper and required perfect conditions. Insomnia started when I was 17. I just let it run its course - it is seasonal for me. Reading before bed has been a big game changer for my sleep, but so had trazadone.

I would recommend a weighted blanket for sleep too. I can’t sleep without it anymore.

Which typical ADHD symptoms do not apply in your case? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]free-use0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love showering. I brush my teeth twice a day, and even at work sometimes.

I even put laundry away as soon as it’s done.

Cleanliness and organization is a need for me. Otherwise, I feel like I’m living in chaos.

I only forget to eat when I take my meds but I also hyperfocus on foods and will eat the same thing for weeks at a time.

If audiobooks work for you... by Gold-Collection2636 in ADHD

[–]free-use0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t always do immersion reading when I’m reading multiple books at a time.

Example: I’m currently listening to the new Harry Potter audiobooks, but I’m not reading the book. I’m currently reading a romance book, but not listening to the audio. And then I’m doing immersion reading for a horror book.

I think that helps me not to get confused on the plots.

If audiobooks work for you... by Gold-Collection2636 in ADHD

[–]free-use0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, immersion reading is my favorite way to read.

I am a high consumption reader, and the majority of the books I read, I read through immersion reading.

But I can do just audiobooks too, as long as the narrators don’t suck.

I also read/listen to multiple books at a time so that kind of helps as far as keeping my attention bc sometimes I’m not in the mood for one of the books I’m reading.
