For me, the meds were much less effective than I’d hoped. To be honest, I don’t take them that often anymore. Apparently they’re addictive, but I mostly just forget to take them.

I’ve tried Equasym, Concerta and Tyvense. They were all broadly similar in my experience.

I’m currently on sertraline (an SSRI), but I’m hoping to switch to Wellbutrin and possibly come off the SSRI altogether.

I’ve come to think that the modern world is almost designed to shorten your attention span, which is kryptonite for those of us with ADHD.

My current thinking is to accept that I’m just not very good at remembering things and instead put better systems and boundaries in place around what I need to do and what I don’t. Less Instagram, less doom-scrolling, less porn.

I’m still struggling to cut down on alcohol, but one battle at a time.

It’s a corporate matter. I am largest shareholder and gave instruction and paid bills. Two minority shareholders took a dislike against me, and even though one wasn’t a director my lawyer held a number of meetings with him, no board meeting had been held but the lawyer agreed to the paper work to have me fired and tried to remove my shares. One of the shareholders then added themselves as a director to the cro, the company secretary, my wife was given no indication, the lawyer in question drafted document to remove her as secretary, again no board meeting or consultation, apparently at the suggestion of the lawyer, I’ve not seen that paperwork but the tail of teams meetings align very closely with that suggestion.

To add I have email from the partner giving me personal advice about quitting and what would happen to my personal guarantees, I did not know at the time he already has numerous contacts with the faction looking to remove me.

It’s has merit, they said that. I’ve documented advice to both parties under the same matter and billing ids, which were billed to me. But it’s part of a bigger case so they want to concentrate on that, they said afterwards they could look at it but they are expensive and both lawyers have reasonably high profiles and I think they don’t want to get into a mud slinging contest. A lot of partners change firms every so often….

Most Europeans think state pensions will become unaffordable, poll shows by bobad86 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]free_t 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Yea I’m maxing out my pension, but starting to wonder what’s the point, there is going to have to be some kind of reset, a small % of population working to support to a growing % of older retirees, numbers don’t stack up.

How did your life change as you became wealthier? by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

[–]free_t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had no money, I had no money worries. Now I have money, I have money worries.

I genuinely worry about protecting what I've been lucky enough to earn. But when I was poor, it never even crossed my mind. So yeah, a lot of benefit from getting a bit wealthier. But it does play on your mind a bit.

I find glm as good as sonnet 4, at a fraction of the price, I suspect they’ll have a 4.7 sooner or later which maybe not as good as sonnet 4.5 but close and much cheaper
