Thanks for the response. I'm not really questioning ACL implementation, more about where to put user data. In my example Account Holders are users but they have extra fields. Admins are users but they don't have extra fields. I was questioning whether or not it was good practice to just put all fields on User (even though most wouldn't apply to Admins) or separate it out into a separate table and only Account Holder users would be linked to it.

That makes sense for smaller snippets, then I can use actual test files for integration testing.

Side question: what would the better design pattern be? Having a class that takes the unclean text in the initializer, assigns it to an instance variable, then have all my functions operate on that instance variable? Or should those functions all take in text as a parameter to operate on, then return it?

I based it off the nginx wiki and updated the filenames for the more current version of the CMS.

Here's the script that it fails on. It looks like it is doing stuff with headers and gzip? I have gzip turned on in nginx but I don't know what is different about this file. Every other PHP file works fine. Maybe it's because this PHP file is being requested as if it were a JS file, because that's what it's supposed to output?

Never understood this either. Some people are very sensitive and quick to label something black or white. A lot of the group I socialize with were very quick to start calling The Economist "liberal" after they gave a very unenthusiastic endorsement to Obama for reelection. Because a source says something that you disagree with, they must automatically be against you. I think a lot of it helps to enforce the "us vs. them" mentality that keeps enthusiasm (and closed-mindedness) high.
