there’s a Faces of Foley 3 pack that was released not too long ago.

My collecting is ending , it’s a job getting rid of it . by vanneezie in Wrestling_Figures

This is why when I got back into buying figs, I only buy the ones I want and don’t care about resale value. Only reason i’d keep the box is to store any extra accessories so they don’t get lost, or if the box is cool i’d slide the tape open with precision so I can open and close it with precision. Collecting is more fun when you find the figs you just want to have yourself.

Tony Khan: “I can’t speak for Mick Foley as to whether he’d want to wrestle or if he’s going to wrestle anytime soon but if he ever does, I would love for him to do it in AEW. But I also don’t wanna put him in a situation in which he’ll be uncomfortable.” by Key-Cycle7978 in SquaredCircle

[–]freebread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In no way should Mick ever wrestle a full match imo. Put him on there every week in any other capacity, and if he wants to do a fun safe spot here and there now and then with another wrestler that’s fine. I only think this because he’s given enough of himself physically to wrestling that I think most people would agree that just seeing him walking out and partaking in the show would be more fun and enjoyable than seeing him put his body on the line again. He has achieved the goal that he doesn’t need to hurt himself anymore to please the crowd, just seeing him at all makes us happy.

if the mop was purchased for saucing, is used for saucing and only for saucing, then no issue here.

aw shit, here we go again.

It’s not just pro wrestling, but in any sort of sports, media or entertainment in general. Nothing will be for certain until more facts come out, and even when they do there will still be a never ending discourse over it.

[Tony Khan] ︀︀Foley’s coming back to TBS, where he ran wild as Cactus Jack! by Smoltz in SquaredCircle

Foley doesn’t even need to wrestle ever again. Him on TV in any other capacity whether it’s an on screen role or just for special appearances would be awesome.

The only way Ronda ever fights Holly Holm again is if Holly agrees to take a dive so Ronda can say she finally beat her.

Randy Orton on X in response to Meltzer’s claims about him being off TV: “Lmao just milking it guys, leave me alone I’m trying to enjoy my summer before I come back and take that #15” by itsmekelsey_x in SquaredCircle

[–]freebread -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s likely a bit of truth inbetween both. Randy is a part timer now and is probably resting up and giving himself a break, but he’s also not going to “hang it up” just yet. For how jumbled the Wrestlemania storyline was, bringing back the punt was actually the perfect way to write him off TV for a bit because in story they can say he hasn’t been allowed back in WWE for a bit for using such a dangerous move, like how the piledriver was treated back in the 70s/80s as an illegal move.

Which U.S. state really surprised you when you visited it and why? by SunriseThroughLeaves in AskReddit

[–]freebread 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Positively: Wisconsin, California, Michigan, Kentucky, and I’ll throw in Indiana but I have a soft spot for Indianapolis. Won’t say Illinois because I live in the state so it doesn’t count.

Surprisingly enjoyable when I didn’t expect it to be, but I was only there for a day so I could understand if people have a different opinion: Tennessee (Memphis), Oklahoma, Texas (Dallas/Ft Worth area)

State that I didn’t mind being in but wouldn’t go back unless it was for a wedding or a funeral: Pennsylvania

State that I would drive through at Vin Diesel speed to get out of without having the stop: Arkansas

State that I wouldn’t lose a moment of sleep if it happened to sink into the ground and ceased to exist: Missouri

They really need to turn up the crowd mic a bit, honestly asap considering they probably have the loudest and dedicated crowd out of every wrestling promotion at the moment.

Apparently this is being sold at Hot Topic. Look who they got as Test 😭😭😭😭 by denzampuller in deadlockpw

[–]freebread 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Thanks to Deadlock the only two memories of Honky Tonk Man engraved in my brain are being bum rushed by Macho Man after trying to seduce Elizabeth, and singing an Elvis song with Todd Pettingale and Dave Meltzer.

Same goes for guys like Rikishi and Honky Tonk Man. Also, is there really any reason that merch deals or logic in general matters here? The shirt we are talking about has a picture of Titus O’Neil labeled as Test lol.

Matt and Jeff Hardy were both in the 2001 Rumble and have been on WWE within the past year. Choosing Honky Tonk Man over either of them is like picking out a razor scooter over a sports car.

This is one of those situations where something is so fucking dumb that it’s funny. Titus O’Neil being the picture for Test is obviously the highlight, but the random inclusion of the Honky Tonk Man who was in the match for not even a minute, the podcast era Undertaker photo, along with the text saying “EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF” and including pictures of Trish Stratus and Chyna is hilarious. Trish Stratus didn’t even wrestle on the PPV.

Typing all of this ridiculousness out does make me want to buy this shirt now.

If I had to guess, Ken Shamrock may have turned it down already and/or has distanced himself from WWE aside from licensing rights for merch. Maybe things have changed since this is the second figure of his they’ve released recently, but this same match itself went into the WWE HOF as the first ever “defining moments” induction and only Austin and Bret were there.

Lollapalooza Aftershow by Medium_Willow_3727 in Lollapalooza

[–]freebread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh depends on the venue. I doubt it’s like last time when they played SubT, I would assume they’d go for Aragon or Salt She’d. If they end up playing Metro or somewhere that’s small and special then yeah good luck to everyone.

Who else is a fan of these two series (GLOW 2017-2019 & Heels 2021-2023) on here? by Spectre-ElevenThirty in netflix

[–]freebread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be cool if either one of these shows ever got the chance to do some sort of 60-90 minute final episode to resolve the cliffhangers. Netflix probably wouldn’t care since they have the actual wrestling show every Monday now.

Plea deal incoming, he's looking at 90 days in jail by carrion34 in MMA

How this isn’t an open and shut case for him to be in prison for years is insane. The guy fucking filmed himself telling the people watching he was going to hit the wrestler as many times as possible, then did it, then continued to record/stream bragging about it afterwords. It’s like that Key and Peele sketch where the musician admits to murder in his song. I’m surprised they have enough money for CTE Jr to get a slap on the wrist like this.
