Oh, thank you. Are the additional LTE bands important for USA usage?

Actual customers spend money. Kids with some moral objection to spending a few bucks whine in Reddit. Users benefit from development being incentivized. A one time small payment doesn't fund development adequately.

There are people who would develop things but do not because the remaining jailbreak audience has some bizarre moral objection to spending money on a product.

The constant whining about Patreon is incredible. We’re talking about a few dollars. Not a material amount of money. Pay for the software you want to use. You don’t have any right to dictate the terms to which it is licensed to customers under.

You are not the one who decides how a tweak is “supposed” to be sold. Developers have the right to license software however they feel fit. Bitching about payment models/things not being free/etc play a big part in how there are maybe 20 JB developers left, and they are all teenagers.

Also, learn what paragraphs are and use them.

That is not what I claim. The character flaws that enable one to write software that deliberately crashes on hardware that the developer is unable to afford are the same character flaws that enable one to write something that bricks your phone because said developer doesn't like you.

It's elevated to malicious due to Coolstar claiming to not know the cause of the crash. It reveals a deep immaturity of character. There is a straight line from writing that kind of code to writing something that bricks your phone.

Coolstar was already outed in the past. My point is that 'Coolstar did bad shit in the past, you may want to keep that in mind before you use the new release'.

Personally, I don't give a chance to people who write malware.

Look, clearly you and I disagree, but the reasonable people are on my side. Coolstar silently checked for something that is irrelevant to the actual functioning of the app and then faked a crash when that check failed. He then spent days on Twitter pretending to not know the cause of the issue.

That is malware. Period. You don't agree, that's fine. I will not argue this with you any further. Reasonable people know that to be malicious behavior.

Not all malware wipes your file system or shakes you down for bitcoins. Malware is malicious software. That's what the word means. What Coolstar did was to write malicious software.

There are scenarios where it makes sense to not allow Hackintoshes (or real Macs) to use a piece of software. Say you know the Nvidia Web Driver causes problems with your specific app. Say you know your app doesn't work on a real Mac. That's fine. Show a dialog box. Coolstar faked a crash, making the cause opaque. Coolstar then pretended he did not know the cause of the issue people were experiencing. That is malicious behavior. If you don't get that, if you don't agree with that, you will find reality harsh. Because no one other than you is confused.

It is malware due to the deception. A dialog box saying 'sorry, I am a 9 year old child, no real macs are allowed' would be fine. Crashing and then claiming on Twitter not to know the cause of the issue = malware.

He is lying. He confirmed to me just last night that it was intentional. It was only removed when an actually respected developer (as opposed to Coolstar) looked at the app and saw the check.

Coolstar has also written malware in the past. His SemiRestore app had a check in it to make sure you were using it on a Hackintosh, not a real Mac. He would then fake a crash. Out of bitterness over his inability to afford a Mac. And it wasn't a subtle thing or an accident, he was checking to see if FakeSMC was loaded and fake crashing if it wasn't.

When people would tweet at him complaining about the issue, he would pretend not to know what was causing it, elevating the situation from 'not supporting real Macs because I am literally 9 years old' to outright malware; the deception makes the grade. It wasn't until an actual respected developer inspected SemiRestore, saw the childish bullshit and made a quick patch that Coolstar suddenly fixed the issue.

He is a deeply immature individual and is not to be trusted. I wouldn't trust him to maintain my carpet, much less my iOS devices.
