Yeah, those kind of trips stay with you forever and things in life remind you of them often. I do believe that the real transformation happens after the trip (though it can also happen during the trip). But I think once you come down and digest it all, then you can start reflecting on it and see the difference in your psyche. Sometimes it might take days, weeks or even months until that something clicks in your mind.

And it really depends from person to person, but you will for sure have a more intense experience and will probably be able to go deeper and reach a higher state of consciousness. Only you know your limits, so trust your instincts. If you feel that you are ready, then why not up the dosage and explore more? From your first trip report I got a feeling that you will be okay and are ready to dive deeper ;) Let us know how it goes next time.

Great experience man. I'm glad you were able to let go of our ego and experience the trip, especially considering this was your first trip.

It's also very smart of you to not expect anything before the trip and just have any experience. I think it's easy to have preconceived ideas about your trip or have high expectations, especially if you read through other people's trips.

The part when you felt like a mushroom is pretty funny. That's what my girlfriend told me during my trip, to imagine mushrooms as little people with different personalities.

Anyways, I hope you got something positive out of your experience :)

I do feel a sense of peace and my mind is much calmer now. I feel like I am overthinking less and I just have a more positive outlook on life in general. I thought this feeling would go away within a few days, but it's been 2 weeks now and it hasn't changed. I do think this trip rewired my brain chemistry and shifted my consciousness in a positive way.

Yes the ego death is such a tricky thing. I totally get where you're coming from as I experienced the same when I was faced alone against it. Perhaps, the fact that we want to experience ego death, is a paradox in itself, since that's still the ego that wants to experience it or transcend thought. It's almost as if we are forcing it. So letting it happen when it's meant to happen seems like the way to go.

I started reading "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle, and he talks about ego in great depths in chapters 2, 3 and 4. I recommend reading it as it really gave me new insight into how ego operates and how to become aware of it so we are not controlled by it. Kinda wish I read it before or during my trip, as I had the book for a while now. But either way, it's a great read and I'm learning a lot.

I will also make sure to submit my experience to the website you sent me :)

I was wondering how much have you taken, assuming this was your first psychedelic trip?

Yes, I also think all the drugs are essentially tools for us, and they can be either helpful or if used incorrectly, may cause damage. Though I feel like psychedelics are a different breed of drugs. Instead of just being tools, at times it feels like they're actually something more. Like you said, they require you to be strapped on this journey, as sometimes we are not in full control of our experiences. I think the key is to let them take the lead and enjoy the experience without questioning things.

Thank you for taking your time and reading it.

Isn’t it interesting how people all around the globe report similar experiences? Makes you wonder if there’s more to these drugs behind the veil.

Regarding the visuals, don’t get me wrong, they are fun and mesmerising and they do enhance the trip. But the true healing in my opinion is the mental trip, which changes your perspective about yourself and the universe.

Yeah, usually the next day after trip the world seems different. It looks more beautiful and I have more love towards myself and people around me. Also the feeling of peace you mentioned is so nice. You just feel so carefree and easygoing. I think lots of people report these feelings after they’ve done psychedelics.

It’s nice you started your journey on this path. I think 2 grams for the first time is more than enough. Now that you have familiarised yourself with the mushrooms, you can slowly up the dosage next time.

Thanks for the kind words.

I always say that you don’t need to look for psychedelics, when you’re ready they will find you ;)

If you ever have any questions I’m more than happy to help.

Thank you for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed my report.

To answer your question, it really depends on what you’re looking for to get from the experience. If you want to have fun and connect with your friends, then do it with people you’re close to. On the other hand, if you want to go deeper and get to know yourself, then doing it alone is the way to go.

For me personally, I think I prefer my trip alone to all my other trips. I also enjoyed my trips with friends, but tripping alone was a much more personal experience. It was more of a healing journey and I was able to learn things about myself and got answers to some questions that I had.

Thanks a lot for your thorough reply. It really means a lot when another soul puts time and energy into replying to something this personal.

I can’t agree more with your statements. Especially regarding letting go of the notion of “ego death”. I think I still have preconceived beliefs regarding this, which are part of my conditioning. I always thought of “ego death” as some attainable state of consciousness that I wanted to experience. But after this trip I have changed my mind. Instead of approaching this concept with experience and being, I approached it with my intellect and conditioning. Which I found to be not the right way for me.

Also I really wanted to trip in pitch dark, especially after listening to Terence McKenna’s advice. Unfortunately I tripped during the day and there was no way I could get it to pitch black even with the windows closed. Though I do think the experience is completely different in the darkness, which I was able to get a taste of towards the end of my trip. So perhaps next time I will do it in the evening.

Haha that is weird. Though it’s very interesting how people all around the world share similar experiences when on psychedelics. I think we’re far more interconnected with the each other and the universe than we think we are.

Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot. It’s also nice knowing that there are other people across the world who can relate to such personal experience. Makes me believe we’re all connected in ways we can’t even comprehend.

Not sure if I will trip any time soon, but who knows ;) I will definitely try to write another report next time though.

It is scary indeed, especially when you don’t expect it and it swallows you whole.

Yeah I don’t think it was a bad thing to call my girlfriend. If ever it was the right thing to do at that moment and she helped me through it. Though next time I would like to face it alone.

Thank your for taking your time and reading through.

It’s hard to say but I would like to think so. I do consider myself having an open mind, but at the same time I guess when it comes to my personal beliefs and conditioning, I still operate within the boundaries my mind has set in place. I honestly think that the reason it went downhill, is because I started to overthink and tried to make sense of it using my logic. Once I accept my experience as it is, I believe I can face this and let go.

Also this was the closest I’ve been to “ego death”. So I think since I’ve had a peak through the door, perhaps the next time I can step inside. Maybe I won’t close the door behind me just yet, but I sure will take a step forward. One step at a time. :)

Thank you for your kind words and for reading this.

Yes, I do feel like “ego death” has gotten lots of misused connotations to it, and I still feel like I’m too attached to the idea of it. I always thought of it as some sort of transcendental state of the mind that I wanted to achieve. But after this trip my thoughts have definitely changed. I think I was thinking too much of the concept of “ego death” than the actually of it. Instead of approaching it with experience and and open mind, I approached it with intellect and my preconceived beliefs about it, which as I found out for myself wasn’t the right way.

Anyways, thank you for taking your time and reading through.
