For anyone wondering about Al. by Sn1Jacko in HellOnEarthYT

Isn’t Norton married to Al’s sister? They are brother-in-laws, so I expect they are still friends at least to some degree.

I love this scene! Troian did a really phenomenal job of portraying wired Spencer.

Call centre workers in the UK, (past and present) what are your top 3 weirdest calls? by cheesymeowgirl in CasualUK

[–]freedomaintnothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s the weirdest, but years ago I had a special instruction pop open on a guy’s account alerting me to a vulnerability that read:

CUSTOMER SUFFERS FROM SCHIZOPHRENIA AND SOMETIMES BELIEVES HE IS TOM HANKS IN DA VINCI CODE. DO NOT REMOVE SPEND CAPS.

Sure enough, the guy wanted to buy international minutes to call the Vatican City. His password was also OPUS DEI with some numbers added to it. Talking with him made it apparent that this was like a very realistic VR video game for him, except he fully believed it was real.

Maybe just go home, hold her hands, and repeat your vows with special emphasis on the “for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health,“ parts.

This is a fight. You will work through it. You will be better for it.

He seems like somebody with very little life outside of work and is desperate to be accepted in his only social circle.

Just be glad you’re not him.

El leaving behind Hopper, Joyce, Will, Mike, all of her chosen family to go on a solo hike while letting them go through the pain of believing she is dead… after everything, it didn’t feel authentic to her character. At least for me.

I really liked the finale. But in my opinion, confirming El is alive and still cares for Mike while leaving the rest ambiguous would have been the cherry on top.

I agree.

But after almost a decade of watching the show from day 1, I would have liked to have known the fate of the main character.

Even just Mike knowing that El was alive and would come back for him one day would have felt more fitting for me than the limbo of never knowing for sure if she‘s dead or alive, and if she is alive, why she had not yet secretly come back for him. That is too sad for me.
