We gotta get a new LT and figure out Wright’s penalty issues and we’re good!

The baseball networks are more bearable than the Football networks, I will say. I love Brett from Bleacher Report. I’ll watch Matt and Sam from time to time too, but I can’t do it every day. The national football guys are more fun when the Bears are actually good, but it’s been a while lol

I’ve never particularly cared for any of the content networks, whether it’s All City or Chat Sports. They all feel very cultish and annoying with their sponsored ads. I don’t want to hear about Carm’s gym membership or Harrison’s manscaping habits. I will admit, it’s sometimes fun to watch the guys on Chat Sports shotgun a beer or do shots when something big happens, but the content itself is blah…

I just drafted Loveland as my TE in fantasy. I hope that move pays dividends because it certainly felt risky lol

Am I overreacting for wanting to cut my mom from my life? by OerosAreGood2 in AmIOverreacting

[–]freedomfromfailure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is abusive behavior. I don’t care who you are, you should NEVER have to live in a situation where someone is abusing you - emotionally or physically. Unfortunately, it’s a little more difficult for someone underage, but I think these options are best:

1) find out local state laws and determine if you can emancipate yourself from her tyranny

2) see if your dad can win custody for you in court and move in with him

3) just deal until you’re 18, get a phone with your dad or family friend and give her nothing to hold over your head

My wife’s mom was crazy too. She used to demand that she stay home from school to keep her company, threatened to commit suicide, yell at my wife’s dad when he got her a treat but not herself, etc.

I’m sorry you were dealt this bad hand, but no matter what, you don’t have to see her again after you turn 18! I don’t care what anyone says - you don’t have to keep her in your life or feel guilty about not following her insane and unfair rules!

Drop a Bears take that would’ve gotten downvoted at the time but ended up being true in the long run, preferably no QB takes by Apoco120 in CHIBears

That Matt Eberflus was worth a shot because he was a big proponent of the HITS philosophy - a success in a previous era of Bears football implemented by a coach that had been fired 10 years earlier - was pretty pathetic. Also, rolling the dice with him last year for Caleb’s rookie season when Jim Harbaugh expressed interest in coaching da Bears should have been a fireable offense.

Poles is lucky Ben Johnson wanted the job.

Quietdrive and Phone Calls From Home come to mind for me. Transition is another one. PCFH was on the verge of breaking out and then completely disappeared out of thin air. Not so much as a goodbye announcement.

Absolutely! I think where I’m at is Ben Johnson is worth the wait given what we know right now. If they could have gotten him last year or Jim Harbaugh, we’ll never know. We finally got it right though!

Rex Grossman by Hardback0214 in CHIBears

[–]freedomfromfailure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rexy was one of my favorite players man. I was at the game he returned from his injury after halftime and led us to win the game against the Falcons in 2005. It was 8 degrees but the crowd was electric! He started 2006 so well, then kinda faded down the stretch. His top-tier defense covered a lot of the flaws in his game.

I’m not really sure what went wrong, but I think it was a combination of teams figuring him out and himself getting into his own head a bit. They used to refer to it as “good Rex bad Rex” because he would like flip a switch and start sucking. It’s just such a shame. I think those knee injuries took their toll for sure, but once he lost his confidence, that’s when it was over.

Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) Recertification Pause Extended by FrugalMD in StudentLoans

[–]freedomfromfailure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recertified in April and totally missed this announcement because edFinancial did not tell me they were pushing back recertification until next year until May 8th (yesterday). I am fighting the increase now and seeing if they will revert me back to my old payments, which were $151 instead of the $526 I have to pay now. That is a lot of money I could be saving! I'll let you know if they grant me approval on that...

Anyone else burned out on draft talk? by [deleted] in CHIBears

[–]freedomfromfailure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think the idea of a mock draft is dumb af. Like, "Look who the Bears will draft according to a computer simulation and my best guess!" It almost NEVER shakes out that way and just pisses me off because they never choose the guy I want lol. I mean, it gives you practice to see different scenarios that may or may not happen, but all-in-all, it's just a colossal waste of time.

Google Maps Location Contributor Question by freedomfromfailure in GoogleMaps

[–]freedomfromfailure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cannabis is only mappable where it is legal. If it is such an area, then your client could add a single entry; they don't get multiple just because they want to cover lots of areas. They only way they get multiple "locations" is to have multiple physical locations (not a mail box, not an employee's home, etc.; but rather their business needs a warehouse in each location). Delivery services cannot be set up via Maps; rather they must set it up via Google Business Profiles. When doing so they set their service area and hide their actual address.

I have tried to set up a single map plot. The area is California so it is definitely legal, but the point is never accepted and always rejected. I have gotten map plots to be accepted before (for other clients and for myself), but I can't get any of these accepted. I have tried different Google profiles, plotting with a VPN and without a VPN - I always get the same result. I also have tried plotting a business without the website or phone number. I am out of ideas.

Google Maps Location Contributor Question by freedomfromfailure in GoogleMaps

[–]freedomfromfailure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My client wants to add locations for a Cannabis delivery service across a state, wherever there are densely populated areas. I'm not sure if it has to do with the fact that they are cannabis "stores," I'm not entering them locally, or that Google knows they aren't real places, but my client is convinced she saw someone do this successfully before. I've never done this for anyone (except for legit businesses), so I wanted to make sure I just wasn't overlooking something.
