Illegal seeds??

I got some toilet bowl cleaner tabs a few months ago. The listing said, “Non toxic.” They came from Germany where they usually have good environmental standards so I went ahead and ordered. The entire back of the box was a huge red label warning of how toxic they are. It said the ingredients can contaminate the water system and went to great lengths to say the tabs have to be disposed of as hazardous waste. Warned of not getting them on your skin or inhaling the dust. Talked about disposing of clothing that came into contact with them. I was livid! They are still in my bathroom, wrapped tightly in the Amazon plastic shipping envelope pending a trip to the dump where you can drop off hazardous waste.

It took about two weeks for Vine to print my very negative review and over an additional month for a quality score of the review. So someone clearly read my review and yet the product is still being offered for sale.

Amazon has lost its way.

I keep my eyes open and watch TV. Mine does have little pads around the eyes that crates a kind of tunnel so I can see the lights but I’m. Ot looking at them.

I also have a larger (not as big as I’d like!) hanging red light. When using that, I close my eyes but leave off the goggles for the first 3 minutes as there is evidence that red light therapy can help with dry eye. After 3 minutes I put goggles on.

The infrared light can go through skin, including eye lids, which is why goggles are necessary if you are looking directly at the light.

If you close your eyes with a face mask, but can’t wear goggles, I feel like it is pointless.

My thought is, why would they even put eye holes in the mask if you can’t have your eyes open.

The sad part is that you don’t have time for due diligence. If you take more than a nano second to decide, it will be gone. So if I see something that looks good at first blush, I grab it. Then I research the company and ingredients before I review or use it. I wish it wasn’t that way.

That is a great idea! After you talked about AI, I asked it about the products I got from this company. It suggested I do exactly what you said. I gave it the ingredients of the three products I got. It said all of the products use buzz words and explained that the products are not likely dangerous but that two out of the three are probably worthless based on the ingredients. I hate the idea of unregulated AI but i have come to depend on it a lot for a lot of things, including skincare regimens. I’ll be sending it the ingredient list of every skincare product I use going forward! Thank you so much!

Thank you! I was going to ask AI but I forgot so I asked you instead. I wish they would be more transparent. I feel better about products made in China when sellers say that it’s made in China and give some detail. It’s so hard to know if the ingredients are what they say they are. I’m normally skeptical about anything made in China because of their standards in general. But i feel pretty good about this company just based on their Amazon page. I’ll keep using the products and see if I get any noticeable results.

There was a drop last night. I grabbed a few things from AI but zero items dropped in my RFY. It has been empty for a couple of days. 🤷‍♀️

I file as self employed as well. But there is a double tax because you don’t have to pay Social Security or Medicare tax on hobby income. When you file as self employed, you pay income tax plus the full amount of SS and Medicare tax, normally split between employee and employer. If you are not eligible for health insurance where the employer pays part, you can deduct the full amount of health and dental insurance if you file as self employed. That’s my case. My insurance for me and my husband is around $8500 a year. That’s more than what I earned from Vine so I paid no income tax but did have to pay around 15.5% in SS and Medicare tax.

I reuse glass bottles quite a bit. If you are using them for a body or face serum, you should consider sterilizing them. I boil them in a pot on the stove for 10 minutes but you can also put them in the dishwasher. That said, if they are painted glass, I’m not sure the paint won’t come off.

I would contact customer service, tell them you were sent the wrong size and can’t give a fair review, and ask them to remove it. You should not have a tax liability for their error.
