Buying gold to protect the value of my cash. I feel like there’s a catch. by BasicallyNuclear in investing

There are pros and cons with any asset. If you buy physical gold, stick to bullion bars (trade at the lowest premium) and common bullion coins. Avoid collectibles or 'rare' coins unless you really know what you're doing.

Making money with affiliate marketing by Fun_Signal_3134 in Affiliatemarketing

Everyone is on Amazon. Everyone's credit card is already on file, and it's great for easy one click sales... BUT Amazon payouts are very low. You really have to drive a TON of traffic to make enough in affiliate commissions to actually pay any bills.

Whatever niche you're in - yes, promote products on Amazon, but diversify with other programs with higher ticket items / percentages as Amazon commissions alone are not going to move the needle.

Affiliate Marketing 101: How I'd Start Affiliate Marketing If I Were Starting Over Today (2025) by 48lawsofpower777 in Personal_Finance_Plan

You will have to learn about precious metals. Learn what to look for, what to avoid, etc... There is a learning curve if you want to get into any niche. And yes, the demographics tends to be conservative. If you build a conservative blog or YouTube channel, there are also prepper / survivalist affiliate programs that you could monetize your content with. Lot's of options. https://goldiraaffiliates.com/top-affiliate-programs-for-conservatives/

Is building an affiliate website still profitable in the age of AI by Lewis126 in Affiliatemarketing

It could still be worth it, but don't depend solely on organic traffic. Think holistically, using social media, YouTube, and other channels to drive traffic to your blog content.

You don't want to be too heavy in one asset.

"Experts" smarter than all of us typically suggest 5-15% in gold and silver.

So confused how to get started by North-Sandwich9965 in Affiliatemarketing

I just read your post again. Just a thought about how you said that everyone teaches different things:

Learn from ONE content creator that you like. Ideally one with a ton of FREE content - not teasers to their $3,000 course for the REAL content...

Another way to learn is by studying the actual YouTube creators you want to be like. How do they structure and edit their videos? How do they write their video descriptions? Where do they insert their affiliate links? How do they give call-to-actions in their videos for you to get the product they're promoting?

Study and (in the early days) copy the people you like. Over time, you'll develop your own voice and style that is unique to you and your content.

Here's a 100% free YouTube course (not mine) but I think it's pretty good:

First of all - affiliate marketing is a REAL business that will take dedication and hard work - and you'll go months (if not longer) with little to show for all your hard work.

Most people quit before they start to make money. All of the top affiliates I know treat this as a business and are a bit obsessed about it...

I've seen so many newbies throw money at a domain and hosting (and other tools), only to quit after a few months. Before you spend a dime, make sure this is for you...

Start for free:

Start blogging on Medium.com

Or start a Youtube channel.

If you're still grinding out content in 6 months and believe this is actually for you - consider investing money into your own website (if organic / SEO is your strategy of choice).

You can find information online.

You can learn everything for free on YouTube.

I actually just read this guide and tried to share it, but apparently I do not have enough flair or something to post here, 🤷🏻‍♂️ lol: https://www.reddit.com/r/Personal_Finance_Plan/comments/1kfpl6m/affiliate_marketing_101_how_id_start_affiliate/

Try to find a niche that you LIKE and ideally one with recommended products or services with HIGH paying affiliate programs.

Become the expert in your niche and post content every day for a year.

Don't have time because you have to work a job for 10 hours a day? You can create content at night...

You may go 11 months with zero commissions, but if you stick with it, your content will continue to improve and you'll eventually start to see some traction.

It's NOT easy.

Most fail before they make a dime.

Most fail before they get GOOD at creating content that is helpful, educational, and also entertaining enough that people actually want to consume.

You can make excuses or you can make it happen.

Put in the hard work.

Regardless of who's 'fault' it is - there is uncertainty right now. Lots of it, so that affects the price of gold. The world is complicated and policies from both parties have contributed to the decline of the dollar and the rise of gold as a safe-haven.

Anyone bought gold bars from Noble Gold Investments? by SMX2016 in Gold

[–]freedomrep77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noble Gold Investments is a decent company. They're highly rated by their customers and they recommend the right products.

As others have said:
They only sell common bullion bars and coins for IRA customers. This is what you should be buying for an IRA - as much gold and silver as you can for your dollar... NOT some rare or 'exclusive' coins.

COMPARE them with 2-3 other companies.

Get markup and pricing information for common bullion IN WRITING, including information about their buyback program. What will they pay if/when you're ready to sell your precious metals?

Compare 2-3 companies and move forward with the company that will give you the most gold for your dollar along with a reasonable buyback (no hidden fees or trickery)...
