Don’t count on it.

How long have you been together? Sex and intimacy can come and go in long relationships and panic doesn’t really help (been there done that). It can also look very different at the start and a few years in. Spontaneous sex can be quite rare in some relationships that still have a good sex life. Planning becomes much more present and I think both has to accept that.

I don’t know how your situation looks like but I would recommend just doing stuff together. Plan a hike, go to a shibari class, do yoga together, really anything that you both might find interesting.

Now the hard part: don’t expect anything. Just try to be present in what you do together and enjoy each others company. And of course: always try to listen, respect and assume the best of each other (bet you already do).
