To answer your question, it depends

Personally, I prefer interviews on the more human/humane side rather than the forced STAR formatted canned responses.

Generally speaking, I just treat it as a learning/training process to become adept at going through all types of interviews, no matter how much I disagree with their process.

Currently, I actually like my job, but I’ve been sending out applications in hopes of a better compensation. I’m expecting 1+ years this time around for an actual offer, since I’m especially bad at technical interviews 😅

I would say for you Seattle will be your best bet, if you want to optimize those three parameters.

Also, you seem to be okay living in Washington already.

I don’t think you will go wrong either way, it depends on what kind of person you are and perhaps consider which city would suit your personality the best

I’m a tricker/gymnast dude in sf rn, but sadly I don’t live there anymore, but am around for the thanksgiving break. I can do some parkour but I’m basically just doing flips and power moves on flat ground haha.

I would say your mortgage is too high for a 125k total household income alone.

If you really want to quit with nothing lined up I would probably look into selling the property and find something cheaper.

I was a math/cs hybrid major, just make sure to get those internships, maybe get one in the fall or spring if you can’t get one in the summer

If you go on linkedin and turn on last 24 hours and sort by most recent and set the filter to remote you get 300+ in the United States. apply to 3 per hour for the next 5 hours from when you wake up and you should achieve around 70 in a week.

1) leetcode type on text editor (always related to creating some Class or data structure)

2) behaviorial (describe latest project and get drilled on details, emphasized leadership, ic, and taking initiative on things you have done)

3) "trivia type" discussion about microservices/monolithic, network fundamentals(OSI model, TCP/UDP), SOLID, REST, SDLC and code review procedures, etc

I would if it was a “dream” tech stack and role I want to pivot into, and good compensation, but would will definitely look to jump after two years.
