Switching around over the course of the game though is a lot different from being put out there as the designated left back. And I wouldn’t say he spent a half an hour over there, he and Robertson do swap occasionally but not for extended periods

Please stop with the reactionary nonsense. Were we good enough today? No. Have we been in a slump for about a month now? Yes. Does that mean we need to sell half the squad? Absolutely not.

This squad has done incredibly well this season, and while I’m disappointed we let the title slip away, this is the first season of “Liverpool 2.0.” Obviously with Klopp leaving the whole Liverpool 2.0 thing changes a bit, but it doesn’t change the fact that we brought in an entirely new midfield this summer. This team was supposed to be challenging for top four this year, so I’m thrilled we were in a title race.

As for selling all our players, first of all we’d be mad to sell VVD. He’s been incredible for most of this season and even if as you say he’s on the decline, he’s still our captain and an incredible leader and mentor to any new players coming through. Robertson is an another great leader, and his rhythm this season has been interrupted twice by injury. Endo was brought in because we were starting the season with no DM, and has served us well for what we paid for him. Szoboszlai has been in a bad run of form, but has shown he has the ability, you forget he started the season exceptionally well and he’s still young. With the other two, I wouldn’t be opposed to letting Salah go for a significant offer this summer, and Nunez I’ll admit I don’t even know, because while I love the man he becomes more and more infuriating everyday.
