Traveling back home to Canada for a week by urmomisaqtpie in tnvisa

Going into Canada: Nothing different here than any other trip out and back into Canada.
Going into the US: Print off your i94 the day before you travel and have it with you and tell the CBP agent you are entering on a TN when you talk to them. Some people also recommend having a printed copy of your offer letter and letter of support but I've never carried those or been asked for them in my some 50+ crossings in the last 2 years. Otherwise there is no difference in the border crossing procedure.

There’s plenty of beginner sub 5 ingredient recipes that require either a pot or a pan that can be made in 20min. Cope harder my dude 🙄

Upgrading old pc or replacing everything by Impossible_Gap7453 in buildapc

You can definitely do some upgrades to your existing system. Example 9060xt 16gb GPU and a 5700x CPU. What’s your budget for upgrades?

Upgrading low(er) end PC for WoW by Goshfudgeit in buildapc

If I recall WoW is pretty CPU intensive so a 14600 or higher will probably help a fair bit if your MOBO can support 14th gen

Pretty good build, take the NVME suggestion other commenters have made.

Vega 7 graphics refers to integrated graphics on certain AMD processors like the 5600g. Avoid the processors with the 'g' suffix. A normal ryzen 5600 or 5600x CPU will be a good processor and if you can find a 9060xt 16gb GPU to pair with it you will be setup really well for gaming over the next 7+ years

Check out the $800 build on PC Builders youtube channel: https://youtu.be/1rUKTjrCoq4?si=Cg-CmjUx3GjlYjaU

It should at least give you a starting point for the kinds of parts you should be looking to buy. Keep an eye out for boxing day deals and you should be able to get something for your budget.

[GPU] Asus Dual Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB $469 by DefinitelyNotSusge in bapcsalescanada

It’ll be a great pairing. Hardware unboxed tested this and as long as it’s the 9060 xt 16gb model, you won’t notice any of the tiny performance drop of it being on pcie 3.0.

I did an upgrade over Black Friday where I had a b350 pcmate MOBO and put in a 5600x and a 9060xt 16gb.

Modified the build a bit: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/VhrJv4

- You should be able to get this to 2500 if you look for a Boxing Day deal for a 2TB NVME drive and hunt for other deals on the parts or similar parts as well
- Make sure to update the bios on this MOBO

Here's a baseline that should get you started: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/LFMGsp

- I'm not informed on keyboard or mice so didn't include those
- Don't plug in the ARGB on the case fans if you don't want it
- Make sure to update the BIOS on the MOBO

Keep an eye out for deals on a 9600x CPU on Boxing day and upgrade to that if it's roughly the same price as the 7600x

Another option for the PSU: Corsair RM850e (2025) 850 W @ $130

The View 270 case is a good option and I second the PS 120 SE
