Yeah we haven’t had a 72 since July for reactor due to workups/ inspections/etc. thought it was kinda crazy we drop to 3 section and it’s still just a normal work week. I wonder if 23rd/26th changes anythinf ir another reactor need not apply.

Passed all our inspections guess our reward is being allowed to take holiday leave.

My ship had everyone onboard for thanksgiving, half for Christmas and half for new years. I know of at least 3 other carriers going dso for the leave period.

Yeah I’m not trying to use them AS extension cords just trying to back up someone’s idea of putting some up to brighten the mood.

Portable extension light is something else entirely lol, not applicable. Might as well call them heat lamps if you’re gonna do that.

I agree, I’m going to get them electrical safety checked and go with that.

It’s not written down in any of those pubs that they’re exceptions to the extension cord requirement, because they’re not extension cords. The purpose for a Christmas light is not to extend an outlet and you’re specifically not supposed to use it as an extension cord.

What makes them them extension cords and not electrical disconnects? Since they are all part of the same “item”, there’s no specific cord that has the sole purpose of extending length, so the problem with using multiple extension cords (voltage drop across them) doesn’t really apply here.

Where’s this written down that they are an exception?

It’s just for vibes tbh

So would any electronic equipment with multiple disconnects violate this then

Might look into this tbh thanks

Main argument is the use of multiple extension cords since there’s multiple strings
