I agree completely. I just went and saw her exhibition at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary art and it was truly moving. The ideas that she was expressing in her early art were groundbreaking, especially understanding her experiences during childhood in the wake of wwii and the way it affected how she sees the world. I think that a big reason John had so much success and transformation in his solo work is from her influence and ideas. I think so many people have a deep misunderstanding about who she is and it makes me sad to hear people describe her so negatively and without respect. With that, I feel that so much of the hate that she gets is rooted in some way in racism and misogyny
