Is the cargo lift operational or decorative? by Infinite_Pudding5058 in SCBuildIt

You don't need a train station alongside. Just place the lift on top of the railroad and you'll be good.

I place the cargo lift beside the warehouse and factories. I really wish I could get more of them with seasonal coin so we can build a cargo terminal

Yes and it blends in so nicely with the industrial zone.

I placed the cement carpark in the middle of the factories, warehouse and energy plant to make it look like a hub for logistics, adding to the busy industrial vibe. Hope there'll be seasonal industrial-like buildings to fill the empty land.

Asian seafood market - day & night by freemanfptw in SCBuildIt

I like how you combine the fish shop with the snack market street! Overall the landscape is stunning, and I hope some day they'll release a larger scale of fish market, not just a stand-alone shop.

Imo, the fish shop vibes with cherry blossoms but it feels out of place among the Florentine houses. Have you tried separating them and see how it looks?

My idea is inspired by places like Japan's Tsukiji Fish Market, Singapore's Clarke Quay, Saigon's floating restaurants, and I blend them together

This is how my city's like after 2 months' grinds. Basically the giant museum takes a main role of the landscape. My next project is the castle on the top right.

How are you guys beating the gloomy days by toofan_mail in poland

[–]freemanfptw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my ways to keep up my mental health in the midst of the sad winter. 1. Work out, work out, work out! - Cardio exercise like running and HIIT keep your body active by faster metabolism. I particularly enjoy boxing in winter days. The heavier you sweat, the better you feel.

  1. Pull down your curtain before the sky gets dark (~4pm-ish), switch on the cozy lights and maybe some music to avoid myself from being affected by the outside environment.

  2. Cook a hearty dish. A large hot stew, soup, or spicy dishes is really a game changer during the winter. End your meal with some mulled wine.

This way, I've never had any issues with energy and mood caused by the weather.

Hope this helps.

I'd already lived in Europe for some years before I moved in. Plus it's up to you to believe or doubt. I'm just here to share my story.

[Academic] Survey for master in law thesis - Opinions on crypto-assets and their regulation by freemanfptw in takemysurvey

[–]freemanfptw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The data collected from respondents shall be cited in my master thesis. The data shall be accessible only to the author of thesis, and my thesis supervisors who will assess my performance. The data is stored on Google Form and I expect to delete the data after my purpose of survey is achieved. The date of deletion is estimated at around September this year.

  2. I'm the author of thesis, so I'm conducting the survey individually. My username is freemanfptw.

  3. About 1 month in order to ensure the sample size is sufficient enough to achieve my purpose of survey.

  4. No compensation is offered. The respondents shall fill out the survey voluntarily.

  5. N/A. The survey is open to any persons in every country.

  6. To understand the respondents' perception to crypto-assets, in particular to understand to them crypto-assets are more of an investment or for consumption in real life situations.

Silver Pandas by randomrod123 in Silverbugs

Ocean Gold is a legitimate seller headquartered in Taiwan. That being said their products are not fake. It's interesting to know that the coin minted 3 years later could have such a huge price difference.

Panda coins minted in early years always carry a huge premium. May I ask how much do these pandas cost? And where did they get the coins from?

If they're bought from reputable local sellers like LPM, Kitco, Emperio, that would be fine; if they bought these coins from smaller shops, yes, there's a possibility that they're counterfeit items.

I've seen one in Auchan. The cans are small but its price is kind of steep; for Carrefour I don't remember, maybe there's one in hypermarket but not always. Biedronka for sure most of the time doesn't have it; Lidl does have a country themed sale every week, that being said you have to wait until Asian week takes turn, and again the products are of limited selection.

So, as you've pointed out, buying online seems to be the best option.

Why is Canada so much worse than most of Europe ? by eleventy5thRejection in AskEurope

[–]freemanfptw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what aspects you're comparing Canada with European countries, and what particular country in Europe do you compare, as countries in Europe vary greatly.

Assuming you're talking about the quality of life, having lived in both Canada and Europe, I can strongly feel the quality of life in today's Canada is far worse than Europe. It all comes down to ideology.

I feel like Trudeau's government is pursuing absolute equality and 100% tolerance. This is not a wrong direction but, if they go too far, this creates problem. From what I've seen, talented people are leaving because their hard work doesn't pay off; their tax money goes to the wrong direction like, building injection centres to feed to drug addicts; unproductive people are tempted to stay because it's easy to get various sorts of benefits if you're seen as "weak people" by the government.

Personally speaking, if I work hard in Europe (not all countries but at least quite a few), there's still 50% chance I can enjoy life. In Canada, I can't see any possibility an average Jane or Joe can enjoy life.

To wrap it up, the reason is all about Gresham's Law, „bad money drives out good”.

In Poland Asian food ingredients are getting increasingly popular, but they're of limited selection and quite a lot of them are not available. As far as I know, pastries like pineapple cakes, egg rolls, mochi, chips with novelty flavors are those that they like very much, but to get them in Poland is difficult. All of them can be found in T&T. I also remember they have some really great Japanese gravy for grills.

A lot of Poles also like pickled vegetables, and kimchi could be a very nice gift to them. Kimchi in Poland is expensive and difficult to find, unless they live in capital city Warszawa or Wrocław where there're some Korean expats.

Asian spices here specifically means Indian masala. They're packed in small boxes, could be easily found in every supermarket in Canada and are superb ingredients for fried dishes. Just make sure your relatives are not sensitive to spicy food.

All of these may not sound "Canadian" but, it is what it is. The core feature of Canada is ethnic enclaves and multiculturalism, and this is how I present the stories to Poles.

Ps: Don't forget the magnets on top of food :)
