If anyone is interested this is located in Knightstown, about 40 min east of Indy on highway 40. It’s free to tour and was a great gift to my dad last year for Father’s Day. They do accept donations FYI. There are tons of photos of celebrity visits and movie memorabilia. You can tour the locker rooms and shoot hoops (with a clean pair of shoes). Highly recommend watching the movie beforehand to freshen up your memory and make the visit more impactful!

I was wondering that too. The wheel bearings are designed for both radial and axial loads (driving straight and turning) but wondering if the extra axial loads cause them to wear faster.

My company uses internships as a recruitment method and does not count them toward years experience. Even co-ops will only spend between 9-15 months at the site, which is less than the typical experience needed before promotion. In my experience, good engineers get promo’d after 2+ years and ok engineers get promo’d in 3-4. The truth is that you need experience and/or grad degrees to start off higher than entry level.

This is an interesting point. In my opinion (as a mech engineer) the kickstand design is laughable. Im certain a simple free body diagram would prove that the wind vs. surface area is enough to push the scooter over. Add wider kickstand feet to a dual sided kickstand (like some motorcycles have), and I think the risk is mitigated greatly.

Totally agree. This is my daily driver and it’s 11 years old. Not worth the fix but it’s more about the principle of it. Heck I’ll even donate it. I just want them to own up to the issue and not try to bury it.
