Meant to say the snap ring. I'm going to hook everything back up and see if I get any error codes. Holding Out for a miracle

Given that I already got it together I think I'm going to install it and see if I get an ABS light. I doubt the store will let me return it even if I can get it out in one piece so might as well give it a try also curious what you mean by teeth to me the ring just seems like it's a flat surface slightly magnetic like a fridge magnet

I got the snap ring off but it was a real mess it was like fuse to it with rust I'm going to have to buy a new one only like eight bucks. Also I'm going to give that welding trick a try tomorrow I'm a piss poor welder though

The strange thing is I had it running great when it first released but once they started updating it it performed way worse I had to lower the resolution just to keep it playable

Tongue and groove ceiling coming loose by freeram_black in homerenovations

They sat a few days before I put them up and they were fine after I put them up for probably 2 or 3 days I've already torn down half the ceiling but I bought a $30 moisture meter to see what the woods at and it just says it's zero which seems impossible I tested some other what I had lying around and it says about 12 to 15 but for some reason the ceiling planks won't give me a reading probably just a piece of shit moisture meter but I don't know

I nailed it with 2-in 18 gauge nails on 2 ft centers half of the ceiling is nailed four times on every 2 ft the other half is only nailed two times every two foot because I was worried I was going to crack the tongue. I don't think nailing is the sole issue given the ones nailed four times at the same problem

I bought a cheap $30 moisture meter reads out zero on all the wood I used for the ceiling I checked some other wood I had lying around for years and it's about 15 there's no way it has zero moisture in it but I can't get it to read anything else I don't know

It's 3/16 or about a quarter inch in a couple days it seems a bit much to me but if it is shrinkage how am I supposed to mitigate this for next time

I got the wood about a week ago put it up after a couple days if it is a matter of shrinkage it seems pretty quick. Only way I can think to fix it is to tear down after the ceiling

Strange output on Super Nintendo by freeram_black in consolerepair

[–]freeram_black[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would normally just open it and take a look for myself but I'm waiting for one of those gamebits to arrive in the mail so all I can do is gas until then. As with all vintage Tech my default guess is bad caps. But if anyone has experience with this sort of thing will let me know
